The rider actor file for the  Ptolemy IV unit will be updated to the one above. It follows the details in the faction design document and was worked on as suggested by @Stan`

It is possible that I will create a variant that uses lorica musculata instead of the copper variant of the vergina armor above.

Why the long robe? I'd strongly recommend Hellenistic heroes (except for Cleopatra) to have a short tunic (above the knee) with long sleeves (to the wrists). And infantry heroes should have greaves, cavalry boots.

Body: Bronze muscled cuirass over a long flowing Egyptian tunic. Sandals.

What was written on the design document. I have no idea who wrote it. Also, I have leapt quite a little from the design when I switched the cuirass to the vergina armor

In this case I'd recommend ignoring the design document. Egyptian tunics are perfectly fine for priests, but I highly doubt any Hellenistic ruler would ever wear one on the battlefield; they all tended to model themselves after Alexander, and a short tunic was considered “manly” and Greek; besides, long robes are rather impractical when riding a horse or running away on foot.

(Polybius book V, the most important source on Ptolemy IV and the battle of Raphia, doesn't say anything about clothing or armour.)
