Projectile stats are found on the unit xml files. These can be found in the templates folder. Correct me if i am wrong.

Yes thats the projectile stats. You were speaking of gunpowder units therefore, a bit higher pierce damage and maybe a projectile speed of 100 would be sufficient imo. Attack rate should also be increased to perhaps 3 seconds. Btw what you are doing seems interesting. :)
