As for all the Saxon roofs, it would be more accurate if they were all flat (and not sectioned as the celtic ones) and dark brown. The Norse roof structure could be reused here. I guess it's the stables I used the above reference to do it Here is some eyecandy, maybe can be used as gathering rate booster with a proximity restriction
niektb
Oh, alright. I didn't know we were to include one for that 1 horsy unit
Stan`
Well I guess it can be reused anyways so that's not a loss. Not sure about the blacksmith sketch though. I remember a blacksmith I met in coventry telling me that having a forge outside is the best way to get rust everywhere when the morning comes. niektb
Of course, we're not going to throw it away. That Well might be funny for a capturable farming bonus on skirmish maps (for some kind of strategic point)
Stan`
Yeah that's an interesting idea.
Le Druide Gaulois
I really liked how the stable tuerned out, Stan. I just forgot to draw some sort of barrier above the wooden part of the horse's bays. Something that would isolate them from the outside. It's hard to describe, the texture would be something like this :

Loki1950
The technique was called wattle add mud(clay) and used for walls and buildings becoming wattle and daub construction. Enjoy the Choice

Lion.Kanzen
The barracks for the Saxon/Norse must follow the classic style because can be dificult to differentiate from other buildings.

Skhorn
I kinda agree with lion, there should be something else within the barracks to differenciate them from the cc and give them a more good looking as barracks. Perhaps not an 'accurate' approach of how they were but how would you like it to be? Or more barracks props around it? niektb
I'm not really a huge fan of completely redesigning existing buildings (especially since it's not historically accurate) so more barrack props would be the way to go for me
Lion.Kanzen
isn't a redesign only add to the space barrack elements, the problem is more practical than accuracy. the problem is when a civ have many buildings similar. This happen in other games ( mods)
Stan`
Well I always found it nice that mods could focus more on accuracy than the main game. @niektb is right that some props could do the trick, but I think that people would avoid to put things externally as it would be snowy outside. Lion.Kanzen
The problem isn't if is realistic or not is more practical for players when you are gaming. If the barrack was unique visually for the civ, there isn't problem.
Stan`
I get what you mean, my point is just that I do not want to get rid of accuracy for gameplay.
