The water in my game now goes black, when just a couple days ago it was fine.

Could you please follow the instructions on this page:http://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/GameDataPaths for how to get the relevant information (i.e. log files)? I would say system_info.txt is the most important one in this case.

Do you use SVN? Water is on SVN broken right know. Try to revert to r15489. The water works in that rev.

It's not supposed to be broken. Could you try different settings for water and see what happens?

I put the water effects set Fast & Ugly Water, water can be displayed (the water is very ugly), but is set to HQ Water Effects, the water turned black!

And when I turn on Soft LOS ("myk LOS" in norwegian), the game crashes.

for me also, all water is black and I've neither Fast & Ugly nor HQ water enabled

Nevermind, I had 100% not forgotten to remove some debug info in my last commit and that 100% did not make the water black.
