I don't want to make a whole paragraph with quotes from that thread, so don't make me do it! Ah, I see, you're probably referring to Geneva55's comment. I don't see him expressing himself the way you did. The way you say things and your track record in the project matter. There may be more, I'm not going to spend time rereading old posts. But if you want to go to the trouble of quoting every message, go ahead. It's one of your specialties. 13 minutes ago, Thalatta said: I'm not even referring to the "lobby", or to the "competitive community" (as referred there), but those who want "a rushed game that's 3 times faster than the already competitive StarCraft II (production and research times as reference)". Ah so you are pointing fingers afterall, or not? As for the StarCraft II example, I really don't think 0 A.D. is faster. I understand why you're using training and research times as a reference, but a game's pacing is determined by many other factors as well. But at that point, it's a matter of personal opinion. I've already tried to convince you that it's not a good argument, but you still think it is. That's fair. 11 minutes ago, Thalatta said: I'm not blaming APM, I do agree it's not as high as in other games, not thanks to short training times obviously, but to other things like batch training (which is a great idea), maybe the lack of unit abilities (which might be coming in the future), whatever. I'm only saying that for newbies that are not used to batching and train units one by one things can feel rushed, and it's just an entry point issue that worries me. LOL You are amazing, mate. Thalatta
@guerringuerrin that page is there for everyone to read, anyone can tell I'm not referring to just one comment. I've mentioned the batching stuff before, and if you want to keep shutting down criticising certain mentality as "pointing fingers", go ahead. Grautvornix
Chaps, can we please leave it at that? We are all human (I hope ) and can and do respect each other. This appears to become a debate about wording, possibly translated? Lets move forward and invest our energy into making this phantastic game even a bit better!

Nicolaus_von_Kues
Delenda Est is literally that "gameplay lab" that the official game must to have. That's why I dedicate time to that mod, with some factions that catch my attention.

Let them tire themselves out. If they're upset, they won't be able to concentrate. Even though we don't share the same interests, we must seek common solutions. That's why I set aside my differences with Thalatta. That's why I waited a month and decided to look for another approach.
Thalatta
@real_tabasco_sauce I'd like to remind you something you said in the illuminating thread I referenced: On 02/04/2025 at 6:05 PM, real_tabasco_sauce said: This is a fair complaint in my opinion, generally related to the pacing of the game. ... while I don’t think flatly increasing train time is the solution, targeted adjustments to train time could be part of a broader solution. I agree with that, that's why I'm even against increasing training times and "every phase up would reduce training times" mentioned there, that would make the start of the game too slow for competitive players. I proposed instead (apparently ironically amazingly) increasing training times but making batching more efficient to keep the current training times for more average sized batches (again, all balance-pending, since this might make comebacks too strong, larger batches being produced even faster than currently). Lower difficulty AIs should not batch. I also find interesting the idea mentioned there that Mercenaries "should be able to be recruited very quickly", which could apply to their batch efficiency, giving them an accurate and clear use case.
