How to win with DoctorOrgans?

Hey guys,

This is my 158th attempt to complete DoctorOrgans challenge, but unfortunately no avail! However, this is probably my closest game by far, but it wasn't good enough this time.

If anyone could give me any tips for future games, I would greatly appreciate it!

Well played Barcodes, impressive performance in carrying your team. This game was just simply imbalanced. 

To survive with DoctorOrgans, you must glue your army with his army at all times and follow him closely. The two of you will win by numbers. Since he is Spartan, he will be mostly javs and melee, therefore you should focus on longer ranged units such as slingers archers. If you are his pocket, bring cavs as well. He will be doing the main melee damage and meatshielding and you can be the sniper / taking care of the flanks.

Unfortunately we were both pockets, but I did manage to fully 1v2 my side, as well as 1v2 his side multiple times. However, it was not enough :(

The best way to win while being in same team as DoctorOrgans is to do a secret pact with the enemies team and the resign in his base min 15. This way, you are "winning" even if you are in jc team.

An advice: don't be fooled by the ELO rating numbers. These numbers mean nothing; some players have unrealistically high or low numbers that will confuse balancing attempts. Since DoctorOrgans has an even chance against me in 1v1 (on Mainland standard settings), you should pretend that he is me when you are balancing teams. That will lead to better quality games and greater probability of completing the challenge.

Furthermore, placing him with his 'mascottes' will give him a performance boost (nababu).

 

Something needs to be changed about the rating system, because right now it's totally uncorrelated with skill level. There are 1500s who can roll 1800+ rated players, then there are 1600 players who constantly fail against 1300 rated players. Some 1400 players are very strong teammates whereas others are Petra level.

One example of how to coordinate well with teammate DoctorOrgans: he is quite a good border player when you are a responsive pocket. Ask him his plans, make some cav to be mobile and join him in his attacks, even if it seems early. Truly GG WP to him, carried this side of the map.

Ive been in favor of changing the rating system for a while, although not sure how... I liked SC2s system for the most part, although still a smurf problem with it.

I managed to survive to DoctorOrgans challenge many times. Other times... sadly was impossible. An advice for the ones who want to try the challenge, i recommend you to DELETE DE STOREHOUSE and to NOT LET HIM 2V1 becouse he AAAAALWAAAYS loses becouse of that.  But it is funnier to spec the Stockfish Challenge for JC. I really enjoy it!! B) .

I criticized local ratings here. And proposed the new AOE2 attempt here.  Here it is as text again. Would be nice to test it (of course just a suggestion of me and if I really wanted it I should do it myself).

But I also think some games are decided fast due to strategic decisions making it seem the game was imbalanced when it wasn't.

Lets say you have a 2v2 of equal strong players. 3 make some cav one goes 100% female. The cav-team now goes 2v1 on the female -> fast end, seems imba. Now lets say the cav-team goes 2v1 on the one with cav, he can hold his ground. The 100% female player can boom to cav-champs -> seems imbalanced again (as the power jump to cav-champs is big).
