In this game I start a word, and someone else makes a new word by... a.) adding a letter b.) taking away a letter c.) changing an existing letter OK a new rule has been added- as long as you add at least one letter, you can make two "moves". One move counts as a, b, or c mentioned above. There's not really a winner, maybe someone who makes the word that no one else can change into another one (try "latifundia") So here's the first word: (drum roll please <- good drummer, ey?) late

Eh, usually I'm one to tell people stop fussing about stuff like this, but I think that it is reasonable to remove that line. It's just a game and it's all fantasy, but the game can be just as good without the line.

Someone should keep track of potential "best threads of 2004". But that contest would be a while off, given it's only the first of the year!

I took the threads from General Chat, Hall of Intellectuals, and Computer desk that had a large amount of replies. If there's a thread that you think is the best that I didn't put, mark other, and specify. So what was the best thread of the year? (err... as far back as it would let me browse...)

If it was only one, you should name it "bird". That way, you could always be like "bird, come here", "shut up bird". If I had a dog, I'd name it that.

NO. WAY. I had two cocatiels and they were named exactly that. Crystal and Sunny. And I was actually going to suggest those two names. That is really freaky that Akya said that. Anyways, you should name them those, cuz they're great names. Unfortunately one of my cocatiels died, the other didn't know where his mate went, and after searching (I swear) every room in our house over and over, he flew out the door searching for his mate. They were great pets though, and I have tons of memories of them. EDIT: BTW, the female was sunny and the male was crystal.

I had a great Christmas. Got... -Acoustic guitar -LotR calendar -Atlas of Middle Earth (Wahoo!) -LotR soundtrack -2 Beatles Anthologies -Complete scores of every Beetles Song ever (now I'm a Beatles fan, I guess ) -Tons of books including Summa Theologica and Tale of Two Cities. I had a great Christmas, and I'm happy now !

Only the occasional bad storm and maybe a tornado.
