  1. I use the mod now, just to not get that neon green, because the universe always was sending me that color in all hosts ha, ha, ha.
  2. I know is not the same period in history but I think would be nice have Troyans! (the civ, not malware) And Hector as hero
  3. I've noticed that sometimes a player drops out of a match due to connection issues, and when they rejoin, they do so as a spectator. It's not frequent, but I've seen it happen a couple of times. Also, when I use windowed mode, the game freezes when I minimize and then maximize it again. I hope this helps.
  4. I arrived to this game thanks to Linux ElementaryOS App Store
  5. Not an easy decision for me. Romans, Chineses, Gauls, Persians I find are very good civs. But if I have to choose just one, I would choose Carthaginians. Just because of their style (Also I find very good).
  6. Great... ! If only was possible to use Vanilla minimap ...
  7. I just observed that they go everyone against one player (me), and when team game, Petra plays very hard for them but sometimes for my team decide is time to go on vacation.
  8. Just trying to get a real sense of my level for future tournaments, because honestly I don’t really know my rating and I’d rather not make one up
  9. It happens, when too long without playing, can get rusty. (I have seen it even in top players)
  10. Thanks for the joke, it made me realize the calculation should weigh differently each skill mentioned by @guerringuerrin and @Perzival12, since some are considered more critical than others by the team
  11. Hi everyone, I’m trying to understand what “skill” really means in 0 A.D. Ratings are often used to "balance" teams in group games, so I’d like to know what abilities actually correspond to each rating. I’d like to know how you associate abilities with Elo ranges. For example: 1100–1200: What basics does a player handle well? 1300–1400: What additional skills or strategies have they added? 1500–1600: What have they perfected compared to lower ratings? 1700+: What makes a top-tier player stand out in terms of abilities? The idea is to get a clearer picture of what each rating represents in practice, not just the number of win/losses. Thanks for sharing your experience!
  12. Last time that happened to me it was a very little detail in my router config after my internet provider made some work in the area
  13. I was playing Delenda a couple minutes ago
  14. I agree that automating repetitive tasks can be an optimization in production chains, especially in industrial contexts. However, I don’t think this applies well to a game. If a game becomes over-automated, it risks losing its fun and reducing player interaction in it. Sniping already exists in the game. What matters more is that the game remains engaging, rather than trying to “take care of the mouse.” It may be useful is some contexts, however, in this one, it is more like a “gadget.” It may demonstrate strong programming skills, but it doesn’t meaningfully improve UX. Improving the game’s performance actually would do it. As in the bicycle example I mentioned: improving how you pedal is more important than upgrading a fan to cool the face while still doing that effort inefficiently. Just something to think about.
  15. Yep... I found is not accurate. Also I want to propose a name for this mod Maybe a good name could be "Your past condemns you"
  16. That's an interesting analysis, it makes me think of priorities. That feature in the game is like having a high-end bike but only ever using one gear, while obsessing over automate a fan at higher revolutions to so it blows more air towards your face. Just saying.
  17. None. 0 A.D. is peak gaming. (Except for the occasional War Thunder and some Chess.)
  18. Experienced pilots fly the plane themselves to enjoy the flight. Autopilot is mostly for naps. GG.
  19. Uh I see, wrong building then. I was looking for the RTS strategy department.
  20. Bro, I understand that new players who don't know how to play want some help with auto-training, I personally used it at the very beginning. However if you are an experienced player it feels lazy and can fall asleep. If players want the game to play by itself, it’s also possible to just watch replays, spec games or put AIs to fight each other and enjoy the show.
  21. Hi! Since is possible with autociv to set custom map size, it is possible to do it with game speed? Lately I have been finding normal speed a bit slow, but 1.25x maybe too fast and would like to set something in between.
