  1. I noticed that ModernGUI now has compatibility check enabled, well this in fact just a meme. Even my cat can change it, I know I didn't used the correct name for the function, but I know it was perfectly understood. Still I see players that avoid to host so others can't see they use ModernGUI/autotrain, but I know the behaviour of that as my palm hand. But well, I just don't play with those players, I do the compatibility check. Now I understand why the debate, those players are winning things they shouldn't. If some of them really use it for stats or for the units selections, the ultimate solution is put autotrain out of ModernGUI. Good Games.
  2. I have made FFA and more than two teams, and that doesn't exist. They almost don't fight each other, they come everyone against you.
  3. yep, I still get "Failed to authenticate user" Am I banned?
  4. If it is already shown when hosting a game, it shouldn't be so hard show it for example when you click the name in the player list... Lol is not new, some people can be very OP programmers, if that is the case, and you want you created or developed is used by people you must consider UX
  5. Interesting... If I can help I'd be happy to
  6. Thanks! Yep, that analytics are in progress (about 90% done)
  7. I think the game’s looks are just great. In my opinion, AI content outside the game isn’t a problem as long as it keeps the same vibe.
  8. Instead of sharing the Excel, I put the data into a small web I found outdated so it’s easier to explore https://units-stats-0ad.web.app
  9. Yep, that diagram shows what happens in circle placement (I was doing some diagrams a time ago to visualise dynamics.) As I mentioned in another post, I think this is similar to football formations. In a circle, players on the borders most of the time face early pressure and frequent 2v1 situations, at least in the 1111 vs 2222 setup. But with random groups, river or stronghold dynamics are different. That's why I avoid playing circle placement, or at least I make variations like 2v2v2v2 or FFA. Almost always, they send me to the border; most players want to be in the pocket, because the border in circle placement is like that football position that receives more tackles . The game has so much possibilities worth of being explored
  10. Millenium A.D. also very nice mod
  11. Nice! I got it how to be black all games ü
  12. I made an excel with all units For me is not because "it is difficult," but civs like Athenians or Spartans even they are really strong, cavalry is faster.
  13. Documents folder and keep going, place the mod inside mods folder
  14. Sometimes, is just the way some devs present their ideas that makes it seem like they see it as if it were a shoe manufacturing industry they want to "modernise" or "implement a new system in," and people are "resisting change." But this isn’t an industry that used paper and pencil and now need you to implement SAP — it’s a game, and the same development principles don’t apply for both. "Implement SAP" is needed in performance. (I have seen across the internet same comment from many ppl: they need to improve performance, so it's not something just me mention).
  15. Let's make a video playing Delenda Est, if you want
  16. OMG What a cool Wonder!

  17. This just reminded me of a time I used a mod in Counter-Strike where all I had to do was hold down left click, and the script would auto-target enemies and get 20+ headshots in 3 seconds. Please don’t turn the game into something like that. If the mouse breaks for too much clicks you can replace it in half an hour. If the game stutter or lag you see it everyday. GG.
  18. When I started playing this game and didn’t know how to play, I looked for mods. Autotrain helped me avoid getting stuck in the early stages of matches, and the GUI showed useful in-game information, which definitely helped. However, over time, as I became more familiar with the game’s mechanics, relying on a feature that performs complex calculations—like pop cap, resources, batch size, and army composition—actually made me lazy. I started to find matches boring, and I lost control over managing my resources. When I began playing more manually, I gained much better control over my economy and units production, maybe I am not as fast like other players that boom faster even without autotrain or autoqueue, however I definitely have more control over my game. Now I have to use my ingenuity during matches to manage the game’s variables, and that makes it more enjoyable for me. It’s also worth mentioning that all the visual elements and large queries the mod uses can impact performance to some extent, and as we all know, multithreading is still a technical debt. The game is beautiful, with lots of details and good graphics, but when a single CPU core gets overloaded and everything starts to stutter, it really hurts the overall user experience. Instead of focusing on overly sophisticated features, improving performance is what will truly enhance the user experience for everyone. (I know more than one case that they think they have bad PC that's why the game don't run well and is not that). All I know is that the more players rely on autotrain in multiplayer, the more players there are that I end up not playing with. This mod should be treated like others (such as Delenda Est, Millennium A.D., etc.), with compatibility checks enabled so it’s used under equal conditions (I have seen some players avoid to host so others don't see they are using ModernGUI.) GG.
