  1. I have 7. 3 for the cable (on three separate TVs) 2 remotes for two of those TVs (the original remote, which I still use to change to video) 1 PS2 remote for DVDs 1 Enterteinment Center remote 1 VCR remote I plan on getting a universal one to replace 3 of them for 1. Just gotta wait till I get money (and with Call of Duty out it'll be a while)
  2. Yea, I ignored these and 0AD forums up until a week or so ago, still ignore 0ad... just a lot of work checking too many forums. But this place is fun
  3. I win 1st place on Halo quite frequently (specially with capture the flag) though most kills I don't get too often. I won the AoM beta (or alpha). I won a $0 bet against my brother that I would know what I would think next before he would... But it was a close call. PS: How do you play Halo against certain ppl? Just go looking at all games seeing if ppl you know are in the game?
  4. Oh, this is TRAILER music!!! Then it's TTT no question hands down for me
  5. While I really wanted to vote for FotR, the Ent's march music can not be defeated, even by perfect hobbit music!
  6. I learned about the LotR Mod (josef's time, before Adam I think - I remember the first time he posted, prolly had shown josef already, the awesome Noldor [movie based] unit!) through HG. Of course, I was just a eager fan until it was a good ways into a game and Adam hired me
  7. DivX, though it's limited what it plays... otherwise I like to stick with QuicTime or Windows. PS: About RotK trailer I thought it was good (no doubt about that) but it doesn't live up to the FotR trailers or the single best trailer I have ever seen: 2nd TTT trailer with the Requiem for a Dream soundtrack!!!!!!!! I still am looking for a trailer to top that one, though Underworld's trailer got close. But no worries, there's still a second trailer coming I'm fairly sure (both for TTT and FotR it has provent he second trailer is the better one). PSS: Yes, rating and watching trailers is a big hobby of mine. I have a folder filled with 20-30 trailers for films, and another with 40-50 trailer/videos for games!!! All rated out of 5, well, the game trailers I gotta update a few ratings.
  8. I was signing up for something on the Lord of the Rings website (I assume forums, 3-4 years ago) I tried Hunter (which was my usual first choice name but of course it was already used), then I tried my combinations of it which all failed I even went down to my lame Sir_Shane (which I was glad was already taken). Then while trying a combination of Hunter I tried The Elven Hunter, then eventually got ElfTheHunter which has worked in every single place except one (someone stole it for WarCraftIII.net!!!)
  9. World: Earth Nation: U.S.A. State: MN City: Hutchinson or is it... World: Arda Nation: Beleriand State: Doriath City: Menegroth It's one or the other, you can pick
  10. Cyberpower 2.4 Ghz 1G RAM ATI Radeon 9700 Audigy Gamer Sound Card 120GB Harddrive DVD ROM CD-RW 5.1 Surround Speakers A big upgrade from my old machine: 500 Mhz 319 RAM Integrated Graphics Card (32 MB i think) Integrated Sound Card 13 GB Harddrive CD-RW
  11. Yep, that's from the first movie I think...
  12. Ok, I'll give you that Halo uses the same tunnel/Halo structures often, but wouldn't you expect that to be the case if you were on a ship? Because Halo is a giant ring created by and is technically one big ship, so I'm not surprised the corridors and insides are similar. And in the Single Player Campaign Master Chief often travelled to and back (prolly to prolong the game) so I guess it can feel repetitive... I don't feel it though PS: Yes, I loved how Half-Life told the story, just didn't like the story that much. Didn't seem to have many twists or events, mainly the beginning and the method how they told it was interesting, after that it resembled Duke Nukem (shudders to compare Half-Life to Duke) a bit because you're just going through levels killing aliens, but at least with minor events occurring and killing them in thought out ways PSS: Which is the most anticipated Shooter you want to see? Since I don't want to have to pick I'll pick the three that I want (will get): Doom 3 - Just to see if my computer can handle this baby I'll get it, but then add frights to knock me unconscious and I'm happy. Primarily the graphics though. (Does anyone know the release date for this?) Half-Life 2 - Hey, I'll get to enjoy Half-Life but this time when the graphics are amazingly new and awesome. Had to play Half-Life in 2002, so some of the lasting impression did not get printed on me. (April 2004, because of the hack event) Halo 2 - I am afraid this will be less unique than the other two, so far I think it'll be a super Halo, with few things new. But hey, as long as it reaches the original status with those graphics then we have a contender. (Q1 2004)
  13. To actually do as much works as I should... (I always get bored and do something else, like, play games) ps: I could beat both of you in Halo (to identify me I go by Hunter and usually end up with a 1st in front of my name )
  14. I don't know any big communities that even come close to Heavengames, but Scn Network and War3Campaigns and of course WildFire Games... other than those I don't know.
  15. Shooter *gawks* Strategy! *frowns* Ok, Shooter... *sighs* I'll just go with... *flips a coin* Shooter, i guess.
  16. Story -Halo (One of the first real story I saw in a FPS, yea, I joined the club a bit late) -Half-Life (Heard it was good so I went to play it, didn't think it was good a story as Halo) -Unreal 2 (Most of the story sucked, but in the end they managed to do the single thing no other game had done to me. Make me actually sad that my character's friends died! I still think a single shot to the head of the villain was not enough!!!!) Action -Halo (Most awesome vehicular warfare ever makes for one of the best games ever!) -Unreal Tournamet (My first experience with capture the flag, even though it was a 3 player LAN game with an extra bot thrown in) -Duke Nukem 3D (The fond memories of explosions and flying pigs...) Realism -Medal of Honor (which ever) -Call of Duty (the demo showed me something that I did not think was possible, a more realistic game than MoH) -Halo (I know it's not truly realistic, but it feels more realistic than many... the future seems more in place than others) Immersion -Halo (I love this game, and now I get to play multiplayer on my PC!!!!) -Duke Nukem 3D (First real big FPS I played) -Doom (Before Duke Nukem, this got me and my friends totally crazy) -Castle Wolfenstein? (Forgot the exact name, but the other FPS of doom's time) -Half-Life (Even though I played it recently, I got past the graphics and saw some amazing level design and ideas) -PlanetSide (This was really one of the first FPS I played in a MMOG enviroment with vehicles and so far the only one!) Scenarios -Halo (I love the distant views and the textures and everything) -Savage (I agree, this game did not have awesome graphics it made each pixel count in scenery) -Half-Life and Call of Duty (if this means level design then so, if just scenery then these two don't belong here) Fun -Halo (PC version of course is the best!) -Savage (I played it until I was bored out of my mind, but now I want to play again) -PlanetSide (eventually it became boring, but it sure took it's sweet time) Technology -Halo (getting old but not quite there yet, and it's physics beat any game's physics!!!) -Unreal 2 (Awesome graphics!) -Can I say Doom 3, Halo 2 and Half-Life 2? Misc (rarities, etc.) -Max Payne (haven't had the chance to play 2 yet.) -BloodRayne (These two the only two that brought bullet time alive, and better than the matrix game) -TimeSplitters (I liked map-editing ) I haven't ever liked the Quake games very much, not enough to do them justice. Not sure why I dislike them so much. Let's just say that I'm a unreal (halo) fan.
  17. I did something like this for this (heavengames) modding/scn design community but it was primitive (just the more well known teams, and mostly the ones related to me)... Let me see if I can find it (just for kicks) www.geocities.com/elfthehunter/communitytree.xls An excel file, man I can't believe I still have this (and am publicly showing it! Lol) I don't think my link will even work (never tried hosting actual files on geocities)
  18. It's on this webpage: http://devilscity.combats.ru/inf.pl?login=The%20Troll I'm guessing it has nothing to do with me, but still like to know!!
  19. Oh, it's that sort of RPG. The ones I trully love are the free for all non-technical RPGs like the old LotR one we had on the LotR Mod forums (back with Josef) or the one at Reverie Enterteinment... Less constraint, more creativity and more story telling.
