  1. I've always wanted a bit more transparency, but that's probably because I have an American-sized attention span. About the poll... There seem to be more people who have joined in the past year than in the year prior. I just felt that I should point that out because the 1-2 year time span is huge compared to the ones before it. It's a good thing, though. This project is picking up speed!
  2. Like a tower, I'm guessing? Garrisonable, but not transversable.
  3. Should this game even need any sort of official QA? If the various releases were just tested by active, trusted members already present in the community, the need for such people would be negated. Unless there was someone with significant enough experience to do it themselves, or to train others effectively.
  4. Also, the chunks of the bridges and friends and all that sort of thing would drown other soldiers. It's not very likely that you'll swim after falling to the water and getting crushed by various hunks of wood or stone.
  5. Yes. You must be very careful when dealing with... "the company". I'd suggest that you hid in a subway station.
  6. Shhh. Don't tell them that. They might eat you.
  7. It's almost required for an RTS to have free online servers, nowadays. I'd donate if I had money. Is there anyway that a system could be implemented in which people could act as servers accesible through a website? Like in Battlefield 1942. There's a program that allows you to be a dedicated server on the game. I dunno if that's feasible.
  8. Or were they? Dun dun DUN! Maybe. Probably not. I think there was a tribe by that name in Madagascar. Or a group of monkeys.
  9. Not so much pyschic as stalkerific. Muhahahaha. I'm watching you. Dun dun DUN!
  10. I don't like losing to computers, so I'll cheat if I'm going to lose against one. I'd never, ever, ever cheat against another human. It goes against everything.
  11. I can agree to semi-exhaustible resources...but, honestly, farms and mines can be active for hundreds of years without having to be refreshed. Italy has made wine from vineyards that stem back to midieval times. Perhaps trees should be exhaustible. It's hard, given that an RTS has limitations on how many trees can be shown.
  12. Lol. I figured as much, but covering almost the entire audio program stuff seems even more daunting than any of the other discriptions I've read for jobs.
  13. Lol. I'm just as dry as you were. I tried coming up with something because I didn't wanna leave you hangin'. How about...something...about how history is implemented into the game? Like...the process from the historians to the game itself?
  14. I feel sorry for the poor soul who ends up with that much work.
  15. Awesome. It's cool to know something I thought of is being used. It's like...totally awesome. Yous guys rocks socks.
  16. Lol. If I made it, it'd turn out horribly. But I guess I could try, if I was given material/ideas.
  17. Expounding upon the idea of the skin that 0 A.D. currently has, would it be too much of a problem to create a theme for 0 A.D. on Mozilla Firefox? It seems to have a lot of users (including myself). That, and it'd be awesome. For instance...the "go" button could be the 0 A.D. symbol. The theme could be the basic design of the webpage, but with some changes, of course. Given that I've never made a theme, I'm not sure of the feasibility. But, please, tell me what you think.
  18. There are seasons, but they're cosmetic, I think. Or maybe that's weather. Moreover, most of Europe, especially in Northern Europe, was coated in trees. Blazing down forests wasn't a very good option at the time. By Napoleon's time, however, population growth and modernizing technology had drastically lowered the amount of forests. Sort of like South America and Central American today.
  19. Another astounding list of things accomplished by the 0 A.D. Truly top notch stuff.
  20. Destorying forests, unless you wipe out an entire forest, isn't really a kosher strategy in the first place. Trees are more useful for hiding in this game, as I've heard. Most infantry can walk and hide in them.
  21. I have no skills, though. I might be able to make a blob that slides from place to place.
  22. Aw. Towers with ten insect legs would be cool.
  23. Charge of the Possesed Towers! Sounds more like a TLA thing.
