Okay. I'll just find the ones I like best in each set.

Alright. I'll decrease it.

Cool, I Have Reached <variable> Posts !

Finally! 700. I've been stuck in the 690s for ages, lol... -
At least you've heard of them. Anyway... 12/2/2004 Worked on Greek Swords. Screen. Note: the UV map is probably very off. GMAX does this weird thing with pixelizing high-res textures, so I have to crop this picture and roughly scale the UV to fit the new map to get a screenshot.

Welcome to Wildfire Games! If you like Tolkien, I would reccommend you to visit the TLA forums.

Thanks! Is there anything about ancient weapons you don't know? Unfortunately I won't have much time to work on these. I have a horrible school project I have to do.
-
No, I think they're different. Because gladi is mentioned somewhere else in the map. Here. I'll show you what they look like. green = gladii (according to key) red = "jabber swords"
-
Thanks! Well, they were called jabber swords in the gif. I'll fix them. I think the polys were lost because I tried to revert their normals, but it didn't work (AFAIK). Anyway, one of the 4 is whole, so I'll just duplicate that one.

11/30/2004 Worked on Celtic swords. Uploaded screenshot. How's this? About the shine not lining up: It lines up in the UV map. I think GMAX just acts weird sometimes. EDIT: Or does it.... aha! The UV maps are slightly weird in a few verts. I'll go ahead and fix that if it's alright with you. Or is this intentional? And theres this strange thing with the jabber swords only being half-made. The other half is missing.

11/29/2004 Files organized and a few things planned. Contacted Paal. Unfortunately, too busy to get any real work done.
-
Cool! That looks fun. Going to have to make some wood brushes then. Hmm.. I'm going to try to accomplish this near-impossible goal: For each new task I get, make at least one new brush for it. Last time it was the hair, and now it's wood and maybe more. Okay then, I'll see if I can manage to find some way to talk to Paul.

Come on, Argalius. Don't scare him. We want to encourage posting don't we? That's a minor rule anyway. But yeah, reading the CG is always a good thing.

There's always some way to trick the program into thinking you're not entering a cheat code. Whether the involves something little like changing one file or something huge like decompiling and recompiling the code. You can't really make it impossible, but you can make it nearly impossible that no sane person would bother to try.
-
Oops. http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&ur...egames.com/0ad/ Not really a big deal, but it would be nice to have it fixed. One of the mistakes seems to be mismatched opening and closing tags and that's not a very minor error. (Assuming it isn't a result of an earlier bug.)
-
And cheating won't help them get better either. I remember when I was bad at RTS games (still am, but not as bad as when I first played AoK) I got into using cheats and it was difficult to get out of using them. Having people earn the right to use cheats is a far better option.

A bit forcefull isn't it.... But, yeah you will definitely enjoy it.

Yes, but that shouldn't affect the color. It's still the same moon, just at a different angle. Also, it's not much of a different angle. We never see the "far side" of the moon, do we? What's with the Save Sam avatars anyway?
-
This is really confusing.... 63% of the posters here all have "Save Sam" avatars. Can't tell who is who.... Anyway, was it an eclipse or something? I thought the moon only turned red then. And it was normal to me. Weird..... I would have thought the moon is the same moon no matter who's looking at it.
-
lol... I didn't make that up. I got that from an email I received from USACO. (They stick ASCII art in their emails.)
-
Same here. But.... Will they be unlockable in the sense that you won't have knowledge of them or they simply will not work untill you earn it. If you just are told the codes, people are bound to post the codes on the internet and people will use them anyway. Which kind of makes this feature nearly pointless.
-
That looks cool! But... strange.... the moon's normal here. Just a white circle behind some clouds.
-
Cool! That was fast. Hehe, before I read your last post, I was thinking, "Whoops! Did those tags already exist? I thought I checked and they didn't?" Whoah! And they're in the BBCode help thing. Thanks! The USACO cow! \\ )) // ((____)) (( / \ \\ ___ ____ __ ( O O ) ( ~ ~~@@ ~~~~ \ / / @@@ @@@ (@@) { @@ @@@ _/ ( @@@@ | ~__--___--____---___--/ / | | ( ) / | | | / / |||| | / / \\ \ \\ \ ((__)) (00) -nn--(o__o)--nn-

Welcome to Wildfire Games! I love it when our forums grow.

What's with the "Save Sam" avatars? I rarely ever have pumpkin pie. and I prefer turkey anyway becasue my mom makes her own stuffing and cranberry sauce and it rules!

We could have filters to keep certain attributes from being set.
