  1. Same for me ! Topic can be locked .
  2. All i know is that the overgrowth videos are very very popular; because it gives noobs like me an insight into development. Even if the updates are trivial, post updates with videos or images and always refer to the possibility to support financially via pledgie. And choose a nice image for on the moddb news page to lure people into clicking on it
  3. Now that 1.7.1. is released, has it been fixed ? Can't find it in the release notes.
  4. Very interesting article ! thanks for uploading. I didnt know much about these people but googling the remains of this civilization amazed me
  5. I hope the mod doesnt die. And in case it dies, I hope you guys join the main devs again and bundle strengths to finish 0 AD ASAP .
  6. Overgrowth posts weekly alpha videos on moddb.com I know this might be too much work for an open source game ( overgrowth videos make people pre-order = money ). But what about more posts and updates about this on moddb? It might raise awareness around the second pledgie campaign.
  7. The simupdate regularly freezes my game for a second or something. It jumps sometimes to 70 when i check with F11. EDIT: when i try to open profiler2.html with google chrome dev version 17 AND internet explorer 9 it doesnt open. ""Failed to connect to server ("error") "". Should I click on profiler2.html while running 0 A.D. ? cause i ran it after shutting down the game.
  8. I don't know if I like loyalty for buildings... What about good old destroying?
  9. Impressive ! I hope you can do the things you want to get done. I'll read this post with interest. BTW: adding wall drag and drop system would also be great !
  10. You guys are very optimistic about future packs when this version won't be 'finished' anytime soon
  11. It would be nice if every civ has different tactics. f.e. guerrilla warfare for iberians etc...
  12. I updated tortoiseSVN to version 1.7 . Then I needed to click "SVN upgrade working copy" on 0 A.D. to change to the new 1.7 format. While TortoiseSVN was processing the files I got the error: Subversion reported an error: constraint failed NODES.presence may not be NULL I know I can always downgrade to version 16.xx but I wanted to report his anyhow. Who knows if this error is related to Tortoise itself or 0 AD. Cheers.
  13. IMHO the carthaginian super dock should have multiple options to reflect the player's playing style. For example: 3 options after constructing (every upgrade blocks the other 2 upgrades, costs resources) - Aggressive: More than 1 ship can be built at the same time ( 2 ?) - Defensive : Ballista on top of the super dock protects your harbour. - Economic : Generates gold slowly. ( This idea has been used as well in command & conquer generals for the USA faction if someone remembers)
  14. nice release, as usual pureon! Highest on my priority list for alpha 8 would be a wall system! isnt the camel a bit low-poly ?
  15. Small suggestion: lower the loading bar a bit ( when starting a map) , now it seems stuck in the edge of the screen.
  16. One small suggestion for alpha 7 which can be easily implemented: Being able to set a waypoint while a building is (still) under construction ( time saving when you build a fortress for example, or any building that takes some time to build).
  17. Drag and drop is all I need What could be nice is a curtain wall for certain civs! It doesnt make sense to me for celts to have a perfect round wall around their city. On the other hand: a perfect square of walls makes sense for the romans f.e. who built their cities according to geometrical patterns.
  18. @Pureon I really love the docks of Carthage . 2 minor comments: The 'inside' of the port looks a bit empty - I mean: there is no pier inside connecting the different quays. What would be amazing is the ability to construct a mighty catapult on the roof. This is not fiction! : the romans actually built a huge ballista on top to shell the city in the third punic war ( when Carthage actually fell), I guess in 146 BC. or around.
  19. I'll wait for a new autobuild. At the moment i can't see the latest two revisions. One more thing ( feedback): Imo the effect of buildings on borders should be nerfed, just reduce it by 25 or 50 %. When you open a map like gallic fields or sicilia: with your initial base your borders are already close to the enemy's borders! what do you guys think?
  20. Good work philip. I like the border system. Some feedback: 1. The borders can be a little bit thicker, imo. 2. BUG: the colours of borders get other colours on the minimap.
  21. Personally i'd use Brown for animals, like in the age of empires series.
  22. @ Mythos Your proposed borders are definitely an improvement over the current ones!
  23. Some of the instruments used ( percussion-wise) remind me a bit of the original age of empires. I wish someone could copy a few soundbits of that soundtrack as audio easter egg for the fans of the series or compose a track with instrument samples used by age of empires. I like the track though ! only Weak spot: maybe the pan flute melody.
