  5. We can still permit training of infantry mercenaries in P2. To be honest I find spear cav mercenaries no less OP, so all cav mercs should be moved to P3. The sword cavs are very effective at saving yourself when something goes wrong in a big fight, e.g. some rams got close to your cc.
  6. @LetswaveaBook I personally haven't found Merc sword cav particularly OP after min 13, so a good solution is move them to P3. Then we don't need to think about cost NERF or attack NERF.
  7. The biggest use of the mod is on India, Sahara and Nubia maps, where there are huge canopy trees or laggy trees. I replaced them with sticks so there is less processing and less lag, also more visibility
  8. @Stockfish the graphics are KateGUI mod, which is a visibility mod. Download here: It allows me to see mines, hunt, berries and most importantly, woodbine density and Brit war dogs. I will try my best to improve those chickens.

Konoha Extreme (3500) (Boosted Kiara AI with ability to do cavalry rush, P2 push and intelligent fighting skills. Reaches 200 population at minute 10 and attacks en mass scale. Made by nagasushi.) Approximated rating: 2. Catilina Extreme (3300) (Boosted Petra AI with changes to build order priority and army composition when pushing.   10. You make me proud! But, the concept of Zhongguo didn't exist 2000 years ago though, there was the Han and some barbarians around them. Also other civs need some representation as well.
  11. My curiosity is, how is smurfing still possible: all my attempts to create a smurf account has failed; each time I either get an authentication error or my main account being banned. Is the moderator just targeting me or does this apply to everyone but some people have clever ways to bypass?
  12. Have you tried multiplayer? Come 1v1 me and you will feel less bored.

  16. Today an idea came to my mind: since so many people think different civs are broken / need balance, why don't I make 1 special Civ in a mod that contains every single unit in the game? Those who want to prove themselves in 1v1 or Tags can all take this ultimate civ and no one can complain about their enemies getting better civs. You can play every single possible strategy with this civ, which means your enemy can't predict what you want. Let me explain this: if you are Carthaginians, then everyone knows you will do a mercenary rush. If you are Britons, then they will set up defence against your slingers; if you are Persians then they can predict a cavalry heavy late game. But with the Utopians, since you can do all these, there is no way anyone can predict your strategy so games are more fair. If one unit is OP, all of you can use it and there is no excuse to lose. In a TG, if your enemy wants to rush with spear cav, then you can make spearmen. If they switch to archer cav, you can return fire by making spear cav or inf archer. If they come with a slinger rush, you can quickly spam mercenary units to defend. If everyone takes the Utopians in a TG, we can see huge varieties of strategies played out in just 1 game, as you have to respond to the unpredictable moves of the enemy and vice versa. It should be more fun and balanced, without needing to rant about banning civs or someone complaining about their civ. Casual players probably don't need to care about this although people who are learning the game would benefit by being able to try every single unit in just 1 game. Tell me if you are interested.
  17. No. Kush at least has jav cav as replacement. Han gets nothing. No mercs neither. I think the unit is fine

You can research poison arrow tech, after which, your fully upgraded champion infantry archer will do 20.3 damage, which is on par with upgraded javlin infantry, so it's not a certain death for the Han player. But, they have to reach P3 and be very rich to afford many champions, so they are still underpowered. All other civs have javelin or slingers, but Han only has archers so theor maximum dps output is low. There is no chance a Han army of swords + spears + archers will survive something like javelin + pikes or slinger + pikes. In terms of cavalry, they start with cav archer (fine...) but their champion cavalry is basically a mobile version of Macedonian crossbowmen, and we all know how useless those are. There are spear champ templates but they are not trainable yet... Need to add them to a production queue of some buildings Champions can only be produced from the academy -> bad They need some buff to organic units. Their bolt shooter, however, is extremely OP. Valihrant's bolt shooter rush will destroy anyone if he gets Han civ.
  19. After trying out a few battles against the AI I think the civ is not yet ready for commit; there are big balancing issues. The techs available to archers solves the range vs dps problem, but the crossbow champions are quite useless... we should replace them with a spear cav champion, or add a spear cav champion alongside (like the Seleucids and Persians).

  21. I won a legendary 1v1 without losing a single unit: the enemy resigned after I killed 4 of his units. He was terrified by my 130 units large army that arrived at his base at minute 15. It was the height of A24 when everyone spammed archers. He was 1200 and I was 1300-1400 at the time.
  22. In terms of skill: we get new players joining everyday so it gets updated every day. In terms of personality, well, we don't know the AI players, but out of the ones in the lobby who can speak English: 1. p _ _ _ _ _ (luckily this guy is gone now after dancing is nerfed) 2. J _ (doesn't like vaccines) 3. S _ _ _ _ S _ _ _ _ _ (haven't seen him in a while) 4. M _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ (was active in A24 then got banned, likes to spam the chat with insults but never plays) 5 F _ _ _ _ ? (likes to farm points from noobs then quit without resigning to keep his rating high) 6 ? 7 ? 8 ? You are free to fill in the gaps with letters using your imagination. Those who stay in the lobby a lot can know from just the first letter and name length. I am glad that I can only find 5 names, out of hundreds of players I have seen.
