Can't compile SVN development version any more
Yekaterina replied to Player of 0AD's topic in Bug reports
The Atlas failing to build might be due to a lack of certain dependencies. If Atlas refuses to work, you can add a flag --disable-atlas while using update-workspaces.sh or make. -

Shaved_below frequently insults others, especially Kampot. Today I've had enough of him and I have decided to report him. He asked everyone in another game to boycott kampot's host and I joined Kampot nevertheless. He has been proclaiming to be 'the most toxic person' in reza-math's server and has said more unfriendly things there but I won't post them here. Shaved_below is the smurf account of Shyft_Sierra; he also made another account called puddle_of_sperm. @go2die @user1

You can find many such building in London, including large structures with acute angles... If the Brits can live in such thin buildings, why can't the Mauryans do? (just joking)

suggestion about cav ...
Yekaterina replied to JC (naval supremacist)'s topic in Gameplay Discussion
Some good suggestions here but please don't overnerf cavalry units. I spam them because their fast walking speed allows you to save yourself and your allies in time. My suggestion would be to either lower their health and armour or keep their attack values identical to infantry (except for spear cavalry). There is no reason why your arrows or javlins will hurt more just because you are sitting on a horse. Riding cavalry makes you less agile at chopping people with swords. Units in 0ad have to shoot while standing stationary so the relative velocity argument is invalid here. -
@seeh please disable BoonGUI when using StarGUI. They are incompatible with each other and will cause funny effects. So far the mod only aims at Mainland, temperate biome. More will come later. The green trees exist because I can't find their model so cannot turn them purple, otherwise everything would be purple. I missed the fig trees... thanks for pointing that out. Which map is that?

Version 7 released: StarGUI7.zip Smooth ground for temperate and Rhineland Purple trees It's starting to look like an alien world; I am planning to continue as a separate mod as this is looking less and less like the Earth in 0AD and more like some distant planet featured in Star Trek the Animated Series.

Dancing in tg, and refusing to stop by Saidrdz
Yekaterina replied to vinme's topic in General Discussion
Might be the connection to the host being unstable, or an error on the client side. If your ISP doesn't give you a stable connection via fibre optics or if you share a cable with many other people, you will drop at times. It happens to me at times and players often resort to witch-trialing suspect ddosers even though it is SKY (British ISP) who is giving me poor quality ADSL cables. Woodpecker might have lost connection because a salmon chomped some of the trans-Atlantic cables connecting him to other players. -
Dancing in tg, and refusing to stop by Saidrdz
Yekaterina replied to vinme's topic in General Discussion
@vinme you have my condolences for what had happened to you. SaidRdz can be a difficult person at times and he has banned me before, just because someone in the game claimed that I am a smurf. All I asked for was to spec... It was a rushed decision by woodpecker to kick you as well. On the other hand, I don't think dancing is cheating. If you see him dancing, you can dance back. In A25 the effects of dancing is much weaker than A23 and the lag limits what it can achieve. -
SVN Error running context: No route to host
Yekaterina replied to Yekaterina's topic in Help & Feedback
It turns up that there is a fault with the IPV6 gateway of Arch. After I reverted back to IPV4 it worked. I found these two lines in another thread and they solved the problem. Thanks anyways! -

People riding cavalry have higher ground so they are more likely to see through obstacles although not by much. There is zero reason to why women have less eyesight than men, do I propose letting women have identical vision range to men. The current setting is unjustified sexism. Heroes and champions may have more vision but not by much. The justification being they were more meticulously trained to spot enemy and do maintain good eyesight for fighting. Almost no one had myopia in 0AD because there were few books and no screens. Priests should have low eyesight because they probably got myopia from reading too much text with poor lighting.

This error flared up when I was trying to download the latest SVN source code: Is this a misconfiguration on my side or some issue with SVN? Before this error, SVN was refusing to check out due to a locale error...

Someone used my account and Aslan banned me, the real one...
