    Simply increasing the pop is a technique without any flavor, let's change that. Delete this tech please.

    Remplace by a passif when wonder is alive: +10% pick up all ressource, -10% cost metal unit mercenary and champion and a big tech cost a lof of ressource 

    "insert name" : in a big area, building can't be control by ennemy team. Garnisons of barack up to 20 spot

    Yes and not, more civ are played now. Somes units have new units and orther loose units. it same. But civ have to give possibilty to do strategy different. 

    3- economy of a24 is terrible. a23 had much better economy. why devs changed it ? in a24 its hard to reach 200 pop and u r always run out of wood.

    Same for me, just eco tech are more expansive in phase 3, but when i rush 200 pop i have less tech military than A23.

    4- a24 is less realistic. for example how possible catas and rams cant atatck soldiors ? its really boring.
    and how possible bowmen r able to destroy catas and bolts ?

    Good for me! ram is normal and catas was too op in A23 and no brain. But atm they need cost only 2 pop and maybe less wood.But can powerbuff civ archers + cata.

    5- the game is still laggy. i even think lag in a24 is more than lag in a23. its why many players prefer to host 3v3 games and avoid 4v4 games.

    Yes and i think it the priority... order, shift, moves lag

    6- in a24 u r less able to rush. no rush no fun. rushing makes games more realistic and thriller.

    Yes but u can still rush sometimes (depends of ennemy civ), tower need nerf ! 

    i think a23 is much better than a24. in fact a24 is like a different game. when i play it i dont feel im playing 0ad !

    im looking for new game ! any suggestion ?

    Don't think this one is necessary with spearmen getting an attack bonus vs elephants. Can maybe reduce their armor values by 1 as they now get affected by blacksmith armor upgrades. So initially they'll have less armor than in a23 but after upgrades they'll have more. Skimish and piques againist elefant will be ok, don't need nerf hp of elefant

    This would require a very hefty increase in food cost then.

    Choice of mercenary is very hard to do.. cost a lot of METAL but if we up the cost of food, what the difference beetwen citizen and mercenary (except they can't recolt), maybe 1 sec time training? 

    I wouldn't fight against a small nerf.

    Nerf passive arrow is good idea, for reduce slighty the turle and indirectly buff the possibility of rush/attack

    I agree with a nerf on archers. For infantry damage or accuracy, or a bit of both and for cav archers accuracy.

    Why not, you can also buff melee unit, maybe with armor or movespeed (in fight for no buff the economy)

    Yes, early cavalry are much too weak now and pretty much are only useful for trying to harass berries.

    With A24 horrible to move unit so maybe more speed can be good to skirmish cav.

    Yes, a return to the old values or something similar is necessary. I was happy to experiment with the changes, but upon figuring out the meta more it's just simply a step back. I guess it also depends on how you define spam. In a23 making 1 barrack for a faster uptime or 2 for a stronger eco approach was the norm. Now the meta, atleast in my experience, is to plop down 2/3 barracks in p1 and spam from there as resources come in quicker than they can be spent otherwise. For me that fits as an increase in unit spam.

    On a tangent, I suppose another reason for doing more barracks is that the 2nd level economy techs have become more expensive for less gain and it's more efficient to just spam out units in p1 and skip straight to p3, while getting the techs on the way up. Not getting the phase up hp bonuses also makes it super risky to phase up early now. In higher level games it was something that was already being punished, especially by @borg-and @Feldfeld , and with those bonuses gone it becomes super dangerous for no real gain.

    For more requirement to push phase 2. Phase 2 : -10 or 15% training time units citizen, phase 3: -20 or 30% training time units citizen and possibilty to make little siege unit phase 2(not overpower ,just like tree trunk with 2 mens, or something,  At Alpha 21 the spam cav was very indecent as remember.  Alpha 24 you can stay P1 long time lol .

    This value have to be balanced of course (i say 10/15 randomly, and why not also -10% construction time by phase for building of first phase/previous phase).

    I hate the system of Build order, if u don't do it on AOE2 u loose, no fun with stables and archery buiding. Only beautiful. 

    give to possibility to fight in phase 1 is really good, build barack give opportunity to have 2 queues production. But why not nerf slighly the training time of CC for the military units.

    For the next civ, why not a civ nomad without citizen-soldier ? only cavalry citizen, some light infantery, inscreased looting, hunt and some building on cart lol ? a lot of women and slaves for wood, berries

    2 units killed = 1 free slaves on camp

    But the hunt no farms :( ???

    a civ who puts the pressure on or dies afterwards 

     

    --just want to write.. but it seems very complicated without fields afterwards... go sleep lol--

    Stop shouting everywhere is not balancing. This group idea is really modly.

    if you think some civilization is weaker, start to think at new games features, a new unit to give a strenght in a domain for example. A hero, a building, a new idea in a tech or building tree can give power to a civilisation 

    At worst, if a civilisation is slighlty weaker, it will play lass, no problem, it will be taken only by lovers of this civilisation or the pros to blance a game in search of challenge.

    Perfect balance does not exist, the meta will take over

    Do people agree ?

    Yes it's playable. We haven't yet done a public release though.
