  1. I still have to develop the back, its supposed to look a bit like the persian variation
  2. I'd be happy to, if we have the time, of course. Any chance we could have the original modellers do it? Just so everything will match in style.
  3. I'll check out those tutorials Gen.Kenobi I'm using an outdated version of Sketchup and everything (don't want to lose my plugins so I'm still at version 7.2) Blender would open up new avenues of exploration, if a bit slowly at first. I'm comfortable with Sketchup's instancing system, which lets me work extremely quickly and efficiently. I'm going to slug through on blender, and might not be as big of a help. I have four years of sketchup use and nearly 300 SU models under my belt, after all. I have some houses and possible advances, perhaps a population/hitpoint one, and storehouse conversion just something to think about I do think we ought to have varied storage facilities
  4. I added another variant, and possible upgrade models.
  5. How is this direction? Without the toran and fences the model seems a bit... incomplete. Something needs to break the monotony of the stalls, but I suppose we have props for that.
  6. I made a few palisade variations too, just in case we wanted to replace the mauryan palisade model instead of using the standard one
  7. I cleaned these up as best as I could and added some terrain-conforming extensions underneath 2MaurBarracks.zip
  8. I must have been sending you guys some massive buildings, I've been building them to the scale of the human model~
  9. I figured there'd be plenty of space inside, but that's probably more dedicated to construction and repair lol
  10. Those stone courtyards look way too big for the market footprint I gave it a shot, maybe you should put tents around your structure josh, they do help with the overall theme i am missing a column underneath the lower roof, must have deleted it accidentally
  11. I messed around with the dock again while cleaning the model That's a fine looking boat josh
  12. Fence, thinned out the beam... things configured it to work on uneven ground ...but the muffins remain! I haven't seen a reference image yet that shows a silo made of wood planks, just woven reeds from the looks of it, and those won't stand straight.
  13. Thanks Ludo found me via my builds on deviantart, and he asked me to come and work with you guys. I was rather reluctant at first, but then I played the game. I was very impressed by what the alpha had to offer, so I decided to do what I could to help
  14. I brushed mine up a little, I like the direction xF4ke is going in, the exaggerated structure draws it from the rest of the Mauryan set, we might need that for an upper class structure like a temple
  15. I have yet to import the elephant and make necessary changes around it, here are the curved supports and doors, I also hollowed out the inside a bit more. this configuration doesnt seem to look as strong to me as the previous (not regarding the thinner walls), but I'm open to suggestions.
  16. Oh that's awesome! Thanks a lot man, i really appreciate it! I'm not even sure the texture will even survive the export from SU without splitting into different files. I'll clean the models up the best as I can and put them in their respective threads, I'll start texturing after the models are done and pruned, unless you or someone else wants to take it from there.
  17. I would go for promoting individual buildings for more aesthetic control, but I'm sure there is an artist's bias here. The casual gamer might not want to bother. We can get to that after we get the models done, if we have the labor and time. @Gen.Kenobi I have learned to navigate and build SketchUp fairly quickly over the years, Though messy at first I can clean them on export. I figure this is much more efficient than starting the learning curve on a much more complex program all over again. Blender is quite an oddball as far as the user interface goes, I've stumbled through it enough to figure that out.
