The Demise Another question that we continue to ponder regarding urns is why did the Zapotecs stop making this iconic artifact? What seems clear is that late in the Classic period, perhaps during the 8th or 9th centuries A.D., these urns, so symbolically rich and widely found in the Valley of Oaxaca, were no longer made, or at least they became much rarer. Some researchers might suppose that the decline of the iconic urns might relate to a population replacement of the valley Zapotecs by Mixtecs (who did not make such pieces nor revere Cocijo) at the end of the Classic period. But as I have commented before, the notion of a full-bore Mixtec invasion or population replacement in the valley does not have much empirical support. And the best evidences for a Mixtec elite presence (likely through elite intermarriages with Zapotecs) and accompanying cultural influences date to centuries after the decline of Zapotec urns. Rather, the decline in urns would appear to owe more to shifts in Zapotec society and cultural practice toward the end of the Classic period rather than to a cultural or ethnic replacement. With the Late Classic-period decline of Monte Albán and the rise of local rulers at a dozen or more outlying valley centers, the rituals associated with power, rule, and political legitimacy appear to have shifted, perhaps spelling a lessening role for long-held rituals in which powerful individuals portrayed Cocijo or other supernaturals (as often depicted in the urns). Perhaps, legitimacy was now gained more readily through lineal links to specific powerful forebears as depicted in Late Classic genealogical registers (discussed and illustrated in my 2008 Dispatches concerning El Palmillo) that illustrate sequences of ruling pairs, each specific to a single settlement or center. The above speculation remains no more than a viable hypothesis at present. Yet two sets of findings (one from 2008 at El Palmillo and the other from this season at the Mitla Fortress) that both date to late in the Classic period provide some tantalizing perspectives on ritual behavior during the last years of the Zapotec urn.

Welcome. here are the list of issues that the team knows. 1-bug and pathfinding issues. The team are aware about this for years, isn't easy to fix. 2-pathfinder bug. 3-formation are broken and are explained inside the game, again related to pathfinder. 4- pathfinder 5-check out the middle panel the blue shield and the sword if you move the mouse hover a tooltip will be show it. or you can check the tech tree. 6-is a lack animation of capturing, the units capturing by default, to perform an attack, ctrl to enemy building to attack instead capture.( the animation are fixed with new models in next A22 release) 7-You can do many thing in that situation select them and press H ( they stop) and defende theirselves. ( the list of commands you can found in "learn to play") many commands aren't added to GUI. @feneur sorry never mind.

The battalion thing is better How Rise and Fall CaTW manages this. the battalion were intelligent if units were idle that tend to form battalions. they can disband from battalion. -

The men destroy their enviroment. Many cultures collapses because this. you can suggest a mechanic from EE1 where animal reproduces but never reach more than a number. but with forest isn't the same deal, this depends of many biome factors. Some Mayan cultures for example destroyed their enviroment and their Fields ( Milpa). Egyptian haven't enogh wood so they commerce wood for gold with Libanese cultures. -

Medics may be, in that time the baths are the more close to clinical, even is in the Bible , the people seek sanity. The medics visit you. You are proposing things that are from XIX or even XX. ####warning a strong scene######### Romans uses hospital but aren't similar today. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medicine_in_ancient_Rome -
Trying to Trace Back the Citizen Soldier
Lion.Kanzen replied to sphyrth's topic in Gameplay Discussion
Why single player? the fun mechanic are relative or subjective. both are fine. Many people born under slave, Delenda Est have this mechanic, without using a monk, i disagree will come in a snowball effect and isn't realistic not all sunrender other fight to death. the game becomes to micro for sanity , that have sense with about 5-10 %. --------- after next alpha you can't even work for a week. Not for all faction, a woman as fighter is a shame, specially Greeks and Romans, is a taboo, another excusa to call barberian to many groups. And in few cases a women can lead an army, but be a soldier isn't the same thing. promotion aren't too easy IMHO. We had the other system but the soldiers have easily kills. Example a hoplite have a death battle vs a hastati but is killed after the hoplite falls an inexpert archer kills by one hit the hastati, stealth the experience that was for the Hoplite. No they are part ascarmy they aren't consul or warlords or questor, even are Legatus or Dux. Isn't a title or related with nobility in mostly of cases. Except Hetairoi of Alexander. Or Sacred Legion of Baal. they must be a battalion. I don't see nobility there. Even the Centurions can form a battalion like they did in siege of Gergorvia. http://www.historyofwar.org/articles/siege_gergovia.html they are the best men of your army like Navy Seal no are the prince Charles. Why need two houses? ( that'd remember a lot a citybuilder) . The tent is good point/ but not to upgrade a house. "Shuld be collected by trade carts" why? Are you eradicating the instant stockpile to adding another layer of micro ( probably more Lag) to a guy send this...( where?). the roads is complicated mechanic @elexis what you think with actual pathfinder. i agree more activities than battle... like developenmt of a culture and may be experiment with of phenomenon of https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transculturation
