only under certain circumstances. I planned the upkeep so that I could surpass the population of the houses. Once widely overcome they consume stockpile of food. To avoid this you build houses.

there should be an upkeep for war animals.

only archers would be missing, many archers, try Han crossbowmen. It looks pretty good. would be to combine a tank and a fort. In theory it should house any missile unit.

a little less European, it seems that the Han dynasty also did this once to attack the Xiongnu. The fun is doing it with crossbowmen. It is almost like a wooden fortress that is assembled and disassembled. Excellent for siege and defense.
