Such a loaded statement...

"Well, it can't get much worse from here." - General Custer, 1876

The best thing about this is, I see no legal or moral reasons against the website. If people are dumb enough (and emotionally unstable enough) to donate, let them! I especially like how he posted rabbit stew recipes on the site. The hilarity.

We don't go that far. "Yeah, but in 0 A.D. each soldier wore his own brand of underwear (and some not at all)!

I can see your point and agree with it, but look at it from my perspective... I am one of Art Department guys. My main concern and responsibility is the art for the game (and to a lesser extent, some of the game design aspects, but that's a little OT). If there's anything simple we can add to the game that will make it more unique in the art and graphics aspect that is easy to implement, I am all for it. Like you said, all the nifty little graphical things like different styles of beards and random eye colors don't mean a thing unless the game is designed right. Now, the game will be a good game (just take my word for it), so as an art guy, I am all gung ho about the little visual touches we can provide for this game to enhance the "feel" of the game and to make it unique in the RTS world.

Probably small, out-of-the-way shops and such.

She's pretty cool. She's liberal minded and very cool to be around. She can make friends at the drop of a hat - she has that kind of personality that draws people to her. You can't tell in that pic, but she's actually 1 or 2 inches taller than me. -
Uh, yeah... I was rolling down the aisle in the parking lot, saw an open parking space and turned into it... that's when she hit me.. BOOM. Apparently she was trailing behind me and tried to duck around me to the right. It was so fast... I had no idea what happened. Suddenly BOOM. I look over to my right and there's a big white car smashed into me. It jilted my nerves a bit, but no one was hurt. The insurance company ruled in my favor and totaled out the car. I don't know how much money yet. The damage was estimated at $3,200.00. This all happened 2 weeks ago.

Any such things will be purely graphical and will not affect gameplay. -

Actually, the only reason I got into college was BECAUSE of my SAT score. My school grades were horrible. -

SATs are funny, Quaker. I thought I kicked all sorts of @#$% in the Math section, but it ended up I nearly maxed out the English section instead of the Math section. I got nearly an 800/800 in the English section, coming up with only something like 400/800 in the Math section. LOL! Now, these were the days of the 1600 exam (I think the scale has been changed or soon will be) and NO pre-written math formula cheat sheets. -

Well... and this is weird how these things happen, but one year I remember I got the #1 score on 8 out of 10 categories. Two other students got #1 in the other 2 categories, and I ended up something like 3rd or 4th in my grade. LOL... But as the years wore on I started to do worse and worse on tests. I am an aural-learner in the sense that I can soak up information through lecture and especially through discussion and then spit it all back out on tests. That method of learning becomes less and less viable as one's education career goes on. School tends to favor one form of learning over another as the years go on. -
We plan to include texture beneath buildings like what you said happens in AOM. Whether or not those textures eventually fade back into a grass texture (for example) when the building is destroyed is a different matter. Interesting suggestion though. Also, godlike's suggestion about being able to export a text file of the "history" of a game match is a a very cool idea, but one I don't think we'll implement. We have so many other cool ideas floating around in the "backburner" document that we'd like to implement.

I remember I used to score all 99 percentiles on those things... except in some of the math categories. :P -
I remember the days of vinyl records... sometimes playing them backwards the artists would hide messages in them.

lambent (adj) - a light touch, softly lit. "The stars twinkled with a lambent beauty."

That site seems to be Canada oriented. Anywhere there is a U.S. site like that?

Well, let's just say Swellick is on the right track.

Mine didn't work either... had a spiffy new quote to use in the sig that I have since forgotten. -
If we could send a man to the moon, I am positive we could make hydrogen a viable energy source.

Is the hydrogen INSIDE the vehicles contained as a gas or liquid form?
