I'd go with the Roman ranks.

Google books has neat stuff on some architecture and cities.

Better yet, that cool grid system I mentioned way back somewhere in the suggestions thread. Just for the neat freaks and urban planners But 0 A.D. is more of a war game. -

Pretty neat canvas dude -
I don't think a hero would have to be violence-oriented. Heros come in many forms. I think the Celts have a hero who just increases their production rate or something. Anyways, I came across this really cool video about elephants.
-
Speaking of special buildings, we could add a school (gurukuhl). School could be similar to Macedonian library. Pillars could also be one but require the hero Ashoka to build it (I think it was mentioned above) which could increase law/order by troop bonuses and economic boosts.
-
An update... Alpha X brought some easier building techniques. However, I hated not being able to unlock all the buildings at once. I wanted to build a lot of embassies.
-
Part 2 would most likely have the Guptas rather than Mauryans.

Hero suggestions: Chandragupta Maurya: Founder of dynasty Ashoka (greatest ruler) Chanakya : Awesome diplomat who got India to unite against Alexander. He also helped start the dynasty and was really smart. Possible power could be enhanced economics (his work on economics was precursor to classical economics). His impact on the empire was that he pretty much set up the economic, political and military strategy for Chandragupta. Emblem suggestion: The current or modified Ashoka's lions (used by Indian govt), or the Ashoka Chakra (also used by govt. of India as national emblem). I prefer the chakra to be on the sheilds/banners and the lions to be the emblem. Also, @ Brightgalrs: Neat model, but in the Maurya period they were just simple mounds. Nothing too fancy until later As far as architecture goes, they used lots of pillars and neat ornate carvings. And they were good at carving into the sides of hills.

Keep in mind it must begin with K, and be related to the ancient world. My suggestions: Kronos (the Titan) Knossos Kalinga (the war in honor of the upcoming faction) Kush (the mountains in honor of the upcoming faction) Kali (the Hindu goddess in honor of the upcoming faction) Kuruš (alternate spelling of Cyrus)

Wow I remember translating that. You have to admit, Caesar was a pretty good writer.

History of the Athenian Acropolis

Its not Athens, but the acropolis of Pergamum. http://www.youtube.com/embed/XTMoW185tLk -
Actually I'm using the official r11724 build for Leopard (32 bit). Works great on Snow Leopard 64 bit. But on the other hand, releases are coming and better build system for Mac.

Anybody with the SVN version of the game want to help out?

Thanks -
Yeah, Alt+F4 works. It just doesn't crash the game (usually)
-
Speaking of ALT+ENTER, the game crashes when I do that too. I'm pretty sure its a universal bug or something...
-
Actually, if your computer has the right specs, just get the Lion USB stick. Its about the same as getting Snow Leopard and then downloading Lion.

I wouldn't doubt it. Seeing that most suggestions come from "experienced" (for the lack of a better word) community members, it could work. Only newcomers would flood the forums most likely. Also as quantumstate mentioned above, the suggestions page is a bit unorganized. Its sucks digging through 90-ish pages, if ya know what I mean
-
Yep a suggestions sub forum under either Feedback or General Discussions would be cool.
