I think there should be a 0ad app for the app market for both apple and android for a mapmaker with an ability to upload the map onto the forum for other people to experience, because currently I'm in a forced "vacation"(it horrible) and at some moments people can be in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do... also on the app their can be ads to help with the making of this awesome game

No civilization is weak it just depends who theu are versing for example if the celts are versing iberians they would probably win if they use dogs but versing athens they would probably loose, and it also depends on the terrain for certain units because let's face horses would be useless compared to archers in a really hilly/mountainus map

Steamrolling, naval bombardment,attacking military buildings,bully(sometimes with any units),thermopolae/hellgate, defencive guerrilla, architecst, also what I call strategy which is when possible surround the enemy then attacking usually aiming for priority targets I love playing as the spartans btw

I noticed while playing units are only melee or ranged even tho irl most of them were both like the Imperial Centurions i think there should be a feature for special units like that for example the Spartans to throw their spear take out a sword and continue fighting and possible even retrieve their thrown gear too and for some like the Centurions who would have multiple thrown weapons could throw like 4 javelins and then continue fighting with a sword

I think in the game the water should be more dynamic. for example: 1. In map maker the ability to place water in higher elevations/waterfalls 2.in oceans their can be waves 3.flowing rivers

I think instead of the troops losing health or stamina it should be that their defenses drop since they don't know the area and that they move slower too. i think u can already do that

i like the idea about surrendering like if 1 soldier is surrounded by 10 (unless if its an elephant or chariot) they could be taken as prisoners or maybe they just run away and they can be ransomed off if they are heroes (except certain ones like Leonidas because he was heavily outnumbered and still fought on)

when downloading/installing/updating game i did it using the console commands it shows exactly like that but then anyways it still is missing the L even in the file location but its weird because in the file location it says deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/wfg/0ad/ubuntu natty main deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/wfg/0ad/ubuntu natty main aunchpad.net/wfg/0ad/ubuntu oneiric main # disabled on upgrade to oneiric any ideas what the problem could be?

on the console when i type in sudo apt-get update i get E: Type 'aunchpad.net/wfg/0ad/ubuntu' is not known on line 3 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/wfg-0ad-natty.list E: The list of sources could not be read. then when i type sudo apt-get install 0ad it says i already have the latest version but it still keeps it on alpha7

i think the maps for the nest alpha should be bigger because rival tribes or civilizations wouldn't have there villages that close to each other or at least make the enemy AI have to search for your city like we have to and i know im asking for allot but also include some of Kyriakos's work in the game http://www.wildfiregames.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=14854&pid=221031&st=0entry221031

i had that problem too but idc cuz i dont play random maps

i think you can do that if you play it as a demo map (my maps never work because there always is a terrain issue)

i think "clean" cleans out the whole computer lol

thats weird maybe you downloaded the game wrong cause i got ubuntu 11.04 and i never had those problems

and bringing the big ships to the water from land would be hard

it would run faster if you take of the shadows and water reflections in settings though

everytime i try to open a maps that i downloaded or made it loads all the way then says "Error loading map. No terrain data. Check application log." and closes down and i checked all the places you should save it and checked the forums but it still has the same problem
