  1. Stan, please be a little bit more careful about what you say if you don't know for sure. It's very nice of you to want to help and all, but sometimes (as in this case) it means that you end up posting false/potentially misleading information.

    One or more Germanic groups is very likely to be included in 0 A.D. Empires Besieged, the second part of the game that we want to work on once 0 A.D. Empires Ascendant is finished. The first part covers 500 B.C. - 1 B.C. and the second one 1 A.D. - 500 A.D.

    As the Germanic peoples had a greater impact on history during the later period that's when we want to add them. Now, we are not finished with the first part yet, so no hard, definitive plans have been made yet (nor will be for quite a while), but I would be very surprised if no Germanic groups are included in Empires Besieged.

  2. As a helping artist for the main team, I'm afraid no, it's not planned.

    However as a modder (Make sure you check out Milenium AD, Rise of The East, and Aristeia, and any other mods that may come out, I must say it is possible that if we come with a perfectly designed faction devs might consider to add it in the game. HOWEVER, I am not part of the main team (Yet). And seeing how hard it is to balance the current factions I'm affraid it would be a terrible amount of work for little to know benefit if you take out the germans rocks argument.

    So it's a MAYBE there will be one, but NOT LIKELY in the main game.

  3. As a main contributor of mods I will say this is quite hard. Cause every thing I edited was either cc by sa 3.0 or gpl2 that means I have to find every other old dev ask them if they don't want their work to be commercial anymore.

    Also I believe NC is non commercial so how do I am supposed to sell stuff with such a license ?

  4. Anyway we work on motivation =) Wowgetoffyourcell phone suggested adding more buildings too i think distinction between dock and shipyard) If they were to be included in the main game or in your mod they could be in the other. Just have to come up with something worth looking at =)

  5. For a long time 0ad was designed to play on most computers. I think doing that will go against this idea cause we have a lot of integrated graphics players who would'nt be able to run the game. If we do thatthings like suppor only opengl4.3 would appear making 0ad unplayable for most people for little to no benefit.

  6. Okay I need to explain it further then. We currently have no way to export/edit old anims. So everything will have to be remade from scratch. And it will eventually for the new unit meshes, however, for now, we don't have much anims. I think there is three (The showcase units on SVN are animated (IdleOnly))

Seeing in what direction the balancing changes went (i ´m thinking of the fact there are no more hard counters) and provided that we now have units on walls I would not be surprised to see that come into play. Also It could just be the archer trying to defend himself with an arrow or a bow That would be a bit more realistic provided that the switch to melee range would be small. Also maybe for mods (that would add too much micro) implementing a arrow count would be nice too.
