  1. If AtlasMapper removed the link he might have had a reason for it. Best way would be to contact him via PM and ask. Edit: I've sent AtlasMapper a PM.

  3. @Jotunson: not sure what you want to know... do you want to know if Millennium A.D., Rise of the East and every other (possibly, WIP or out-of-date) mod gets included when downloading the game?

  4. Have any of you played Stronghold Crusader or Stronghold 2? The walls should be like that. You could move the units individually on the wall, and units could fire at units on the wall.

  5. A texture per map type should be possible after #3952, though mixing things will stay a bit hard. If you want units to have a random texture, but you also want the texture to depend on the climate or season, that won't be possible yet. And it would still need some definitions on what climates a map could have (in order to update the actors for it). Building textures based on the ground texture will require some more work.

  6. I just did a patch to remove the sheep from the count but in doing so pretty much questioned every other score along the way, pretty much finding this topic on the forums at least confirms some of my thinking :-) What I think should be pulled apart is what constitutes a simple "stat" (fem%, etc) vs. what is used for a "score". There are a few other items I would like to see, I think AoE-like chart summaries, timelines, etc. I haven't quite figured out how this would all be possible but one thing I thought of is if nearly all score counting can come from just the replay files themselves? (is that possible?)

  7. The public mod (the main game) is spread with the installer exe, but it's not part of the runnable pyrogenesis.exe. Pyrogenesis is only the engine, it doesn't include any mods in the exe, and won't run if it can't find mods (the gui is also completely defined in the mods). Buy I guess you can make pyro find the correct mods on the stick. Maybe you'll find it easier to start from our SVN repo, as when you copy the entire repo over to somewhere, it should run fine.

  8. You know that comments are sorted by importance on YouTube, and your own comment is always the most important, so appears on top for you, but not for me ... Anyway, scrolling down a bit does show your comment

  9. PS doesn't have restrictions on what you can do with your content (like any decent program), so it's safe to use. Though there are some pieces of software (most notably some cloud software) that try to restrict what you can do with your own content. Luckily this trend isn't very successful so far, so you're fine with most programs. From an ethical PoV, I always prefer open-source software when it's available. But ethics are quite personal, so I won't dictate what you need to use. (if everyone on the programming team had the same ethics as I did, we wouldn't even be able to release the game for Windows and Mac, since nobody would be able to compile or test it there).
