  1. I wonder if there are members of the community who have an urban garden. A year ago I was lucky enough to move into a house with a few meters of garden and I wanted to start exploring the path of agriculture as a way to escape from my daily life as a worker who lives in a huge city, full of asphalt, loud horns and people angry and in a hurry to reach their destinations. It has been a way of connecting a little more with nature and with the essential aspects of life. If any of you have an urban garden (or maybe you live in the country and have a little more than a few meters of land) I would like to invite you to share your progress with everyone! Here it is. We have some winter and summer Lettuce, Chard, Rosemery at the back and Broccoli. Also I've just planted a Lavanda this season (left side) More Broccoli at the front And finally this is the last harvest we made of Chard and Lettuce

  2. Im currently working on reviving @badosu's maps for a26 and a27 function getFoodAmount(multiplier = 1, biomeConfig) { let initialFoodAmount = Math.floor(1 * biomeConfig.initialFood()); dWarn("Mutiplier:"+multiplier+" biomeConfig.initialFood():"+biomeConfig.initialFood()+" resulting initialfoodamount:"+initialFoodAmount); if (biomeConfig['evenInitialFood']) { if (initialFoodAmount % 2 == 1) initialFoodAmount++; } Have we done an update on the js version since a23? multiplier = 1 in the function declaration ends up being: <p class="warning">WARNING: Mutiplier:[object Object] Thus giving NaN to initialFoodAmount, unless I replace multiplier with 1 in the line defining this variable. Not sure why defining multiplier in the declaration doesn't work. Would it be the same do do it within the function with the following? multiplier = 1;

  3. What a lovely garden @guerringuerrin! I sadly only have a small balcony space, but I'm currently growing some cat grass and catnip plants for my cat. I also hope to grow some wildflowers in the spring, but it's getting to autumn where I live at the moment. I do dabble in house plants though and have quite an extensive collection of 40+ different varieties that I grow, propagate and gift to friends. Maybe I'll take some pics and share

  4. Random map biomes need tertiary huntables too. :/ Sucks that a map using the biomes is limited to only 2 types of huntables. For instance, the Savana or Nubia biomes should have a wealth of animal types to hunt: Elephants, Crocodiles, Gazelles, Giraffe, Wildebeests, etc., which are all available for skirmish maps but not random map biomes.

  5. K they are all fixed, as far as I can tell for a26 and a27. Since the secondary animal for savannah is an elephant, its not super great at balancing those, but it is no more than 400/500 food res difference. Maybe just see if you find any issues first.balancedmapsbyBAD.zip

  6. I understand. Now I'm all for historical precision (and thus would be tempted to question some choices), but on the other hand a rich technology tree (with several choices to make) enhances gameplay, and this is first and foremost a game, isn't it... I've chosen to make my debut in 0 A.D. (and 0 A.D. modding) with the Britons, who have pretty little choice in units and structures compared to some other civilizations. In my case this keeps things simple and helps keeping track of things. And while I admit this is pretty much reality of that civilization at that time (especially compared to some others...), on the other hand from a purely gameplay perspective the Britons aren't very "sexy" to play with: Not many strategical or tactical options besides "me see, me hit". Having some unique techs or units would be nice. And not just the fairly common champion swordsmen, lots of other civilizations have those. I mean something other civilization could be jealous of... TL;DR: Historical reality should allow for small (not too blatant!) compromises, generalizations, and even inventions, if this makes some of the more "unsophisticated" civilizations more interesting to play. (IMHO, YMMV and all that.)

  7. Gauls have the Harvesting Machine. You can see it in the structure tree, or from there in the civilization overview. I'd expect the rotating options to be the same as in-game, you can look up those in the hotkeys. The merc camp is for example used on "Wild Lake" and is the base for a Gaia army; nasty if you stumble upon it unprepared. If you capture it it can be used as barracks.

  8. In this region of the world, spring is beginning to arrive, and with it, all the plants in my garden have started to bloom. The most beautiful flower I have is undoubtedly the Mburucuyá. Here we also call it "Passionflower," and we love it very much because it is home to the "Espejito" butterfly. During the spring, many "Espejitos" flutter around the Mburucuyá, creating a very beautiful and calming image. Furthermore, it has a symbiotic relationship with the bumblebee. Its flowers have evolved specifically to deposit pollen on the bumblebee's back when they land on them while seeking to feed on nectar. Here's a short stop-motion video I made of the first flower that bloomed. The Mburucuyá is a plant from South America, specifically from the Paraná River basin region. This plant has beautiful flowers and produces fruits called "mburucuyá" that are used in juices and desserts due to their sweet and sour taste. Additionally, in this region, it is traditionally used as a natural remedy for insomnia and anxiety. VID-20230909-WA0011.mp4

  9. I never liked how formations behaved so I just play without them. Made me furious when formations were set as default until I figured out how to get rid of it.

  10. Beautiful garden, congratulations! I was born and raised in a large metropolis, but my family has always preserved a beautiful productive backyard with various medicinal herbs, beans, sweet potatoes, peppers and occasionally legumes in general. I'm currently living in a rented house with a large yard, just waiting for a quiet weekend to start a productive project for him.

  11. I think our realism enjoyers would take interest in this. I don't know how this could be made multiplayer, but the graphics, design and vision for the game are awesome. Might be more of a sim than an RTS, but they will have some fighting mechanics apparently.
