  1. Hello, and welcome to the forums. The reason AI doesn't build walls is that this behavior is not implemented. Same reason for the stone towers. There has been limited activity on its development in the past 4 years.

  2. Hello. I would ask for reconsideration for how the AI works. It doesnt build walls, though it follows some kind of pattern of building it's structures. If so, what is the barrier for building the walls? It would improve the gameplay quite much. An option for it is to make the "radiant" system of building, by layers around the city center, as it is now for defense towers. E. g. first layer, randomly placed fields, houses, military structures and the last walls. Of course, if AI encounters natural obstacles, it will skip this place for building. Another option is to copy the AI behavior from Strongholds. Also, why it doesn't upgrade old towers to stone ones? At least, in my experience.

  3. IMO a defensive AI should realy build walls if the terrain allows it. If no top player's do build walls, walls should be made stronger (or siege and ellephants weaker). Walls are a part of the game.

  4. It is not a question of strengthening the AI, it is about general complexity of the game. Simply, the AI should have access to everything the player is able to use. As an instance, it was not implemented in AOE3 due to technical reasons rather than making the enemy more pragmatic.

  7. @user1 commands.txtmetadata.json Offender: DARRTHVADER_11 made me chase his hidden units around for 25 minutes even after i asked for him to resign very nicely & told him i had to help my mom with something. then a second before i was about to kill his last unit he left the game. literally so frustrating...

  9. Hello! I love your game! its incredibly beautiful and engaging! I love strategy games and have been playing the genera for at least 20 years and 0 A.D is my favorite game for city building and ancient fighting! I love the battles and formations and everything but I would like to suggest a few things that could make the game cooler. Paved roads - I'm sure you guys have in mind a way of changing the terrain I think the ability to build paved roads would make the game very appealing especially if you have to pay stone to build them. Stairs to mountains - I have managed to put some workers on top of the flat mountains in an Islands map and the result was amazing! the cities with walls in 2 levels makes it look so majestic! I have attached some pictures of my city building... It would be great if we could build some stone stairs to walk up the mountains and have different ones from narrow to wide. imagining having some fights on the stairs to a beautiful acropolis sounds very cool! I would even consider adding an extra height to mountains so there could be three levels on cities. The walls wake a lot of space on the small available space it would be great if the game was more forgiving about building them on mountain terrain. Decorations - your game is already very beautiful! but I think it could become the most visually appealing RTS game on the market if you could also add a ton of fountains, sculptures, gardens, ground mosaics, fruit tree farms, aqueducts, etc... It would be great if the decorations were not very constricted by other buldings and you had the freedom to place them almost wherever you want even if they become imbedded into some other building... I hope my ideas can help this great game become even better!   10. The problem with heros bonus is not that they are terrible but how 0ad is played. Example this one. How many players play water maps? For the long time I have been playing; I have played water maps in team games <1% of time. Everyone wants heros to give armor and damage bonus or unit spam benefits. I'm not going to write use cases and explain why other heros have differnet bonus and their usecases becasue it will be ignored or no one will read. But if someone wants to comment on hero bonus, try to get out of mainland map, and try gameplay that suits hero condition and you will realize the benefit of the bonus. If you test the same and don't think it is worth it then maybe change the same.
