  1. I was thinking kind of a diorama of an ambush site. A U shape of earthworks and palisades with a bunch of Roman bodies and equipment piled into the cup of the U shape. And then behind it, you see sacrifices like what you depict in your image.

  4. @seehahh i dont know this was asked, im searched for similiar question but not found, so i assume none make this topic. was thinking a scenario when playing multiple player, via chat: and while playing, i always rotate my map position to bottom, its easier to manages my units and seing when enemy come, but the cons is always forgt my exact location

  5. This one is good, i hope you guys implementing the function arrow, its really help make battle formation, for now its kinda tricky to make battle formation lines, the formation rarely facing where enemies come from

  6. I think the way they animated units back in the old days more easily allowed for scaling. I don't think they used skeletal animations back then; the animations were baked into the mesh or something (I forget the details, but the method is different than what modern games do).

  9. I have practically no programming experience, so eventually I decided that this was one too many complications for me, and gave up trying to learn how to mod 0 A.D. That being said, I would be happy to help out in an advisory role. I'm no Howard scholar, but I do have some understanding of the source material, and have been slowly chipping away at making a role-playing game adaptation of the Hyborian Age, so I might be of use in selecting the best quotations and descriptions. Another facet of my RPG adaptation is creating a 3-D Hyborian Age globe, which obviously opens the door for translation to a 0 A.D. map. I'm awaiting a reply from someone in the REH community before proceeding any further with that, though, as I know that others there have already done quite a bit of work down that path.

  11. Since the refactor mentioned above would take a while, and this feature seems simple enough and quite necessary, I have done the XMPP client changes, https://code.wildfiregames.com/P288. It needs an interface that can also handle a nicer way of prompting users to reconnect.
