  1. The Council is both happy and proud to announce a brand new release!!! What is it? Millennium A.D. is a total conversion mod for 0 A.D. focusing on the Middle Ages. It is divided in two parts, this first one is focusing on the first half of the Middle Ages; the timeframe of Charlemagne and the Viking Age. The name of this release is Cen. This word can be translated as "Torch". The torch is known to every living man by its pale, bright flame; it always burns where princes sit within. What is new? We have included a brand new Skirmish map from Delenda Est (though slightly modified compared to the original) called Brittanic Road: Stanislas69 made various assets for the Anglo-Saxons including a few buildings: lastly, niektb committed various balance and gameplay fixes and updated the mod to work with the latest alpha Who are we? The Council of Modders was formed up of two small modding teams and a few newcomers: Aristeia (about the bronze age) and Millennium A.D. (about medieval times) CoM aims to create a umbrella for all wannabee modders and help everyone needed and of course create their own projects. How to: Unzip the download but leave the inner archive intact. Place the unzipped folder into /binaries/data/mods. You'll see another folder there called 'public'. Launch the game and enable the mod in Options>Mod Selection. Press 'Start Mods'. Enjoy the mod! Download: In the last few months some members retired leaving us shorthanded.   3. Do you want to help out with improving the game, but don't have the skills or time to help out with art or programming? Do you want to improve the game by playing it? Then this is your chance! We have come to the conclusion that we need to begin testing thew game more seriously to improve the balancing of the game. There are still some gameplay features left to be implemented, but the game is close enough to being finished that it's worth keeping it fun to play. Starting to test it more seriously at this point also means that we will have the system set up once we reach Beta and that we will be better prepared to bring the game through the Beta phase as quickly and as well as possible. To this end we have set up a Gameplay Testing forum, please check it out and if you have some time and are prepared to follow the simple procedure outlined please help out by playing some test matches. Before you do please read through the rules, it's not a good use of your time if the results can't be used We will be comparatively strict with the moderation in that forum, to make sure it's not flooded with comments that makes it hard to find the valuable information. If you want to discuss the gameplay balancing etc, please do so in the relevant forums.

  7. It's loading damage texture variations, that's all. It should only happen on the first building to be damaged

  9. There's been small discussion to give them Aegma phalangites as a second champ, because with average cav, and expensive and lackluster infantry, they really need a boost that way. They are even more crippeled by the fact that the Aegma cav train VEEERY slowly, while the Seleucids dont have that problem due to Daphne Parade. Besides wood gathering, the Seleucids are better than the Ptolemaics in very way, which isnt very balanced....
