  2. Hi. The new texture remove shadows and make the tiles look too bright. I make them darker and with the specular map they look really nice now. Nice and red and very Roman in the game. Great job Micket. struct_1: http://i.imgur.com/k2KKRWJ.png struct_2: http://i.imgur.com/bxbPXWb.png

  3. It's the GUI that determines how big batches are for players. So you could do that by modifying the GUI (even in multiplayer games, as the GUI isn't synchronised). And since the AI doesn't use a GUI, it can use any number it wants. I personally don't think that batches of 2 or 3 are needed. If you don't have the resources, it's better to pop them out one by one, so they can start gathering faster. For the AI, it has the advantage that it makes it easier to assign tasks to the newly popped out units (as they come out in groups).

  5. Pressing the "shift" key does allow batches of 5 which is quite useful I find. Enjoy the Choice

  7. See http://wildfiregames.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=17730 as a start The hippo has a thread, and in that thread, you can see the progress. Making the actual mesh is usually the first step. After that, it needs to be textured and animated. Apart from that, before you work on something, it's best to search through the forums first. Someone might have started but not finished the work. And also open the map editor and try to see if the animals are present. It's not always finished when they are present. Many animals in the game editor are still missing animations. I hope this helps a bit.

  9. That depends a bit on what you like to fill your time with. There are a couple of new unit meshes that need to be animated. Same goes for a number of animals Seleucids need some buildings to be modeled. etc... And there are plenty of mods that could use a collection of models and textures (Aristeia, Millennium A.D. and Rise of the East to name some I'm involved in)

  10. I don't see your concern, the ability to destroy your own building wouldn't be based on it's damage. We are talking a new concept of loyalty/capture points. If you aren't in control of a building, how can you sabotage or destroy it effectively? So you would need to anticipate losing that control, and act quickly, which I think is even more realistic than not. It's a difference between having a burned out shell of a building that you control vs. having a pristine new fort that is being captured - one you can easily destroy, the other not so much. And just because a building is damaged, that doesn't mean it is actively being captured, if you defeat all the attackers or they are mostly siege, you are fine from this perspective, no matter how damaged it is.

  13. Should probably still be able to destroy a structure you own even if it is damaged; happened in war all the time where the defenders would sabotage any resources they had to keep them out of enemy hands. Also, repair shouldn't be required just to destroy it afterwards. Just bringing this up since it was mentioned that damaged bulldings should be easier to capture. I think a way to handle it would be to increase the capture rate based on the current health, so the lower the health, the faster the loyalty points drain. This would apply to territory loyalty decay also.

  14. A quick post just to say "Thank You" to you all for this beautiful release. The game is becoming always better from release to release and I'm really impressed about how I can play smooth on Ubuntu 14.04 with only an integrated Intel HD 3000. So, really, thank you and keep up the good work!!!
