  1. Despite of which one is used or if a new one is modeled, I think that a symmetrical building is the way to go, which seems to be more historical accurate. Looking for references, every important building I found is totally or almost-totally symmetric.

  3. Hy! I am portuguese and I am sorry for my English is not best. I play with Iberians and I saw name of Viriato wrote "Variato". And I see the language choose for Iberians it's Basque. So, I know blacksmith in portuguese is "Ferreiro" and with help of Google Translation in Basque it's "Errementari" Regards, André Rodrigues

  4. We are using «Variato» indeed, at least in the loading page (http://trac.wildfiregames.com/browser/ps/trunk/binaries/data/mods/public/gui/text/tips/variato.txt), nice catch. Consider reporting a bug at trac.wildfire.com About the native language used for Iberians, see http://www.wildfiregames.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=17682&hl=iberian

  5. I would say stick with whatever is more historically accurate. That way, when anyone complains about how something looks, you can just blame the ancient Egyptians.

  7. By the way, I'm living in Germany close to the river Rhine where the limes once was (border wall of the romans to protect themselves against the 'barbarians').I just wanted to mention that the above picture is unrealistic: The women don't really look that good around here!

  8. Germani or authentic Celts (γνησίους Γαλάτας) According to Strabo, the Romans introduced the name Germani, because the Germanic tribes were the authentic Celts (γνησίους Γαλάτας). Dio Cassius "...very anciently both peoples dwelling on either side of the river [Rhine] were called Celts." Archeology: The Glauberg is a Celtic oppidum in Hesse, Germany consisting of a fortified settlement and several burial mounds, "a princely seat[1] of the late Hallstatt and early La Tène periods."[2]Archaeological discoveries in the 1990s place the site among the most important early Celtic centres in Europe. It provides unprecedented evidence on Celtic burial, sculpture and monumental architecture. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glauberg Google map https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Glauberg&ie=UTF-8&ei=SU9dUojMMoPuiQKAsYH4Cg&ved=0CAoQ_AUoAg The Celtic Prince of Glauberg (ca. 500 BC) references: http://www.wikipedia.org/ http://www.proto-english.org/

  9. Well, since there's been no one condemning me, here's a few of the references I found: More shall be posted later.

  10. It's been a while since my last post, but that's because I've been quite busy lately. But now I at last got some time to spend on 0ad! Well, now I see that the grey logo doesn't really really look that good. It's very easy too not see your work as it actually looks when your working on it, so feedback is really useful. Thanks! I made another attempt, but it feels as if I'm running out of ideas. I hope that my tries at least could be used as examples for when someone else would like to give it a try. I think a painted logo could be quite interesting. I'll also attach the project if anyone wants to play with it, but beware, I's quite messy! logo.blend.zip

  11. As it's just $29, perhaps it could be transferred from the PayPal account? Provided Omri has one of course. Just thinking since they don't have such an expensive fee.

  12. I think that would work very well as an alternate main menu background.
