  2. https://gitea.wildfiregames.com/0ad/0ad/issues/8446 Release process. It's a shame there's no coherent communication system. People don't know what's happening with the game because it doesn't happen outside of the development community or this forum. I don't know how to prepare people to expect a release. No expectation no hype.
  3. Today
  4. Discord is good for chat , not for plan or open topic
  5. There's a rather old and neglected mod. The Etruscans fit in there. They could have been as late Etruscan as Early Romans.
  6. So useless, if a man is able to work, he is able to carry a weapon
  7. I'm from France. Okay, I'll create a discussion and share you the link so that you can help with my project ! I understand what you mean but, yeah, I'm not a real artist but I love learning about historical periods or civilisations so I 'd like to create mine... It may (instead surely) be not deepened and not finished but that's the idea of making a discssion where players could share their expericences and improving ideas for my mod !! And, I want to start with the Etruscans, which is a Greek-Roman civ : it's easier (but harder too because must find their own specifics features !)...

Hi @kedi, welcome to the forums. Please attach your logs; here's how to find them: https://gitea.wildfiregames.com/0ad/0ad/wiki/GameDataPaths

it opened a window said this to me then game crashed: Assertion failed: "ok" Location: netclient.cpp:611 (CNetClient::LoadFinished) Call stack: 00A9854C 007B954B 008BF51A 007A2DD0 007A21D0 007A535C 007A86A7 007910D5 00ADDB3C 00A9776F errno = 0 (No error reported here) OS error = 0 (no error code was set)
  10. I'm compiling 0ad on Debian ('svn update' commands, etc.). The version hasn't changed for a while now (October 18th?). I see: According to '0ad/trunk/build/build_version/build_version.txt': Similarly, in '~/.local/state/0ad/log/userreport_hwdetect.txt'. However, on the website https://gitea.wildfiregames.com/0ad/0ad, there are new commits almost daily (last one: cb58116270). I also found this: https://gitea.wildfiregames.com/0ad/0ad/src/branch/release-0.28.0 Hence my questions: Does this mean that version 0.28.0 will be released soon? But the numbering was supposed to be different – 28.0?

  14. Today I created Issue #8486 and pasted 'Release Bundles #92 win64' into the Version field of the Defect formular. Due to the mechanics of the software, Issue #92 got referenced. When I realized my failure, I changed the description of #8486 by formatting 'Release Bundles #92' as code block and deleted the first version of this description. What I would expect After deleting the former version of the description, the reference would disappear from #92 and therefore wouldn't be marked as recently changed. What happened The reference is still listed in #92, but it's crossed out. When sorting the issue list by 'recently updated', it's still on top. Conclusion For me it seems like a bug, not a feature. So some issues get trashed with references. Related is the issue with Crash Reports referencing the first nine Issues of the tracker (for example #7759; see #6 which got bumped unintended 7 years later). Disclaimer: I didn't file a bug in 0ad/0ad because it doesn't refer to the game itself nor the forums and the website. I did not file one at Giteas own bug tracker, because I don't know the specifications of this instance.
  15. Also, I think there was an Opensource alternative that some members were using. https://element.io/ It was an element, I think.
  16. I'm referring to those citizen workers who were previously female. For Alfa 28 that will not exist.
  17. Whenever I want to create a Defect- or Enhancement-Issue on Gitea, I'm told the following: That is counterfactual: I am not able to change any of the values in the right sidebar (see attached screenshot). I don't feel the need to get this power, but it confuses my from time to time. Is it the aim, that bug reporter shall change the values themselves (like back in the old days on trac) or is this an artifact, that should be removed, if time permits? Disclaimer: I didn't file a bug in 0ad/0ad because it doesn't refer to the game itself nor the forums and the website. I did not file one at Giteas own bug tracker, because I don't know the specifications of this instance.
  18. Citiziens, civilians, non soldiers, what ever you want to call it - just strictly speaking, all members of your army except the mercs are also citizens, right?
  19. Four days later, this pull request was accepted. Therefore Release 28 should be available via win64-Setup file—when it's released. In the meantime: We now have weekly generated test bundles (Mock Release Bundles) of the current stage of development (see the announcement). Currently there is a crash problem, but you may test it next week with the new generation of the build.
