YOU gave out your diagnosis: an attempt to replace your limitations by reading new treatment methods for others. What else do you want to tell me that I do not know? Maybe you have an ABC of 0 A.D. for seniors? If you've read it, take it to the library instead of taking it to the forum. Don't waste my time. I know how I can use the time I've saved from endless clicks on the barracks. Without doctors, teachers, and older brothers who grew up on farm simulators. And now you're trying to turn 0 A.D. into a browser clicker. There are other activities in the game than opening sawmills, sowing fields, and twisting pig tails. Have I listed all your simple achievements?
  11. While I have been playing this excellent game for quite a while, I have never figured out how to get the Hotkeys to work. Is there a setting somewhere I am missing? Mac OS Sequoia (15) Suggestions would be welcome! Thanks!

Yeah, maybe I wouldn’t change the balance. Balance depends on several factors. But I’ve seen the advantages your mod provides in critical moments. I’ve seen regular players substantially improve their unit production and become very competent cavalry raiders. I’ve seen players being attacked and defending themselves while the trainer keeps producing units for them, even in moments when it would be humanly impossible for anyone to assign perfectly calculated batches while having to defend on the battlefront or raid the enemy’s base. For me, the facts are clear: in critical moments where every second counts, where good battle micro makes the difference, and where fast repop is crucial, your mod maintains unit production almost perfectly without moving a single finger.

  14. @seregadushka, it’s nice of you to come and suggest an idea for the game, and I do agree with you that it would be nice to not have to turn auto queue on everytime you run out of resources. However, the others are right, why does it need to be more automated? The point of playing a game is to actually play it, not just sit back and let the game play for you. If you really want this feature, make a mod for it. Otherwise: A: Deal with it. B: Learn how to get enough resources that it doesn’t disable. Pretty simple bro.
  15. I know the player you are talking to. I know you know he was very much as top player before the mod even existed, he brought multiple accounts in top 10 leaderboard (before any mods). There are also players that don't use it that will state the advantage isn't that clear. Your screenshot make a point since that player have a pretty big experience of the game, but I was talking about my own experience primarily. I know hosts, including yourself, wouldn't balance a TG differently after asking me to disable, is that not true?
  16. The resistance is only shown if the number is above 0. So since no units are resistant to fire or poison damage, it doesn't show the resistance. At least, I think that's the problem, I could be wrong. You can test it by giving a unit resistance to one of those damages, and then seeing if it shows up in the UI.
  17. There are many QOL features in ModernGUI that I really appreciate. I think you’ve done an excellent job giving players the flexibility to customize the GUI to their liking, and you’ve kept alive features from other discontinued mods that are highly valued by the community. However, regarding the automation of the training system, I feel you’ve gone too far. I also think you’re overlooking something very important: the player’s awareness in the heat of battle. We are not perfect machines that remember to perform all the necessary actions at the exact right moment to keep our economy running smoothly. Your mod does an excellent job of removing a large part of that burden. The users of your mod can see it for themselves, which is why I find it frustrating that you don’t seem to recognize the advantages it provides.
  18. Yes it does. You don't have the final say in the truth. Also: there's never a mind challenging task you add to the eco that you would rather like to solve in your base while you are raiding. You just removed the "boring repetitive" ones. All your "features" go just one way, you remove penalties and make the game easier in a competition with the ones that still have to deal with the penalties.
  19. (Relative to normal auto-queue) You have perks that increase control over your production, at the cost of having more buttons. You also don't have the problem of potentially having it stop for arbitrary reasons. When that happen with vanilla autoqueue you need to restart production with 3 keystroke, and you still don't need switch camera like it is so often pretended to be the case. So it's like ~3 APM saved, say 10 APM to be large, and not accounting that you should actually subtract that you need to manage the trainer panel. There are tones of other things in the mod that improve QOL, the trainer is a big one for sure, but no, It's not going to have the impact on the game people try to make others believe it does.

  22. I see what you mean, but I find calling it “having additional possibilities to actually control the production” is an euphemism. ModernGUI actually does more than just provide control. You can set the percentage of each unit type, and as long as you have resources and houses, it automatically queues units, calculating in milliseconds how many each building can train and executing all orders, freeing the player to focus on other tasks. Of course, you’ll still need to check the barracks occasionally and make other decisions, but IMHO “highly automated” fits this behavior well. I don’t want to turn this thread into another ModernGUI discussion, but I felt it’s important not to misrepresent its functionality in the context of this debate.
  23. Analogies are often stupid and always have limits. The point here was that you can always go a century back, and find things that were great back then for the time. Doesn't justify freezing things as they were. "highly automated" seems poor choice of words of having additional possibilities to actually control the production. Else it's the same idea. In fact if you remove the UI, you can perfectly make the same code work, example. Are you seregas? I don't know the answer to Maybe someone on windows can help you better.
