managing units during invading gets very hard very fast, units scatter everywhere,

0ad needs a unit grouping system like, the ability to group infantry/cavalry into parts like in total war, there should be a button assigned to call perticular groups of troops, like pressing 1 for group 1 or control+1 for group 1

ctrl+1 _ assign units to group 1

still, control of units and groups needs to be polished a bit more.

The idea of the battalions is going to improve these dynamics a lot.
