Guardian
I know you don't want to publish your game, but have you ever thought of other ways of making profit?Like selling your models, for instance?
Black Op
With the exception of the forum store, I'm not aware of any other plans by WFG to make real money. I know without a doubt TLA will not be going down this path for it puts them too much at risk of getting into legal trouble.
chichigrande
I thought that the thing about Wildfire Games is that it's all made of Volunteers and that it was nonprofit.
Guardian
Well..just a suggestion.
Aeros
Still going on about money, Guardian? Like I told you, we're all completely out of our minds and the game will remain free. It's a ton of fun (atleast for crazy people) to do all of this just for the sheer fun and experiance of it, and mind you this is the funnest thing I've ever done outside of my social life If we do make any money, it won't be from selling the game, or charging money for multiplayer. Any money we get now is from some very nice people who donate to us along with many of our own staff donating, so that we can pay for our server and bandwith, the rest comes from the advertisments on the top of the page. Seeing that our income has a positive number at the bottom of it, we're safe and can continue doing this without having to charge.Either way, the goal is not money, but to make a good game. Argalius
I think it's good that WFG doesn't want to make a profite out of it.

ZeZar
WFG should make more money on ads. Thats something i always wanted to suggest, and know i do. How come you dont ad a lot more ?? I guess everyone would like to buy some space in the menu of the game?? Anyway, i will give you guys a 100 $ when i get my hands on the beta, or alpha, or whatever i get first. This is the prize i have to pay in Norwegian stores, and i wouldnt sleep right in the night if i couldnt send them. I think everybody should too, give you guys the money the game would cost. Though i dont know about PayPal and that stuff, i might just send they money in a letter to Cheezy or Wijit or something, when the time arrives Anyway, i have done some thinking, and found out that a good mIRC channel, and support the Server IP thing in MP, would work fine Just like someone makes a game, gives out their IP on the mIRC server, and BANG, your there !! Klaas
That's very cool Zezar We already have ads on the forums, and ATM that's enough I think. Dunno about ads in the game menu, although it's worth to have a discussion about that imo.
Lorian
It'd help if I actually had any money, I'm stuck on £4 a week pocket money at the moment, though I suppose by the time it's only I may have a job.
Sam
4 euros, isnt that like 4.80 in USD?I wouild suggest Paypal Zezar, sending money all that way may not be wise.
Lorian
Pounds not euros, we don't have euros in the UK, if you want to know how much it is go to www.xe.com and convert 4 GBP to USD

Curufinwe
(in France, most games cost €29.99 ... or €34.99 for the most expensive ...Besides, I think ZeZar's idea is a good one.
King Tutankhamun
Here most games are either 29.99, 39.99, 49.99, or sometimes 55.99 all in USD.

King Tutankhamun
Really? 8 dollars? That is a very good deal.
CodeOptimist
Err, he said 500kr for a game, and 1kr=7USD. That means a game in Norway costs ~$3500USD? That's very cool Zezar I agree...very generous of you ZeZar! I also suggest Paypal, since they can do the currency exchange automatically AFAIK.
