  1. Ali: Haha, yeah. That's exactly where I found it. I read the make blog everyday and have the magazine too. It's pretty neat all of the interesting things they have on there.
  2. I found this on youtube a little earlier, and its quite amazing! through the streets: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTGqIixx1qM here's one on the highway: It's called Buggyrollin, and this guy has this roller blading suit with lots of extra wheels on it all over so he can skate on any part of his body.

  4. Psyche is another show on USA network, usually right after monk is on. It's about this guy who have really good observation skills, and sets up a fake psychic business. He solves crimes pretending he is a psychic, its an interesting show if you like shows like Monk. @Arg: Oh don't worry it gets really weird later on throughout the seasons and becomes so addictive to watch and wait for the next week! The story gets better later on.
  5. Not too much now, almost all the shows are repeats until the fall. I'm watching the 4400, new season started a little while ago. Monk, and Psyche will be starting up this week on Friday, both of which are neat shows. There's a new show called Burn Notice on USA network which looks quite promising and interesting. I love Lost and Prison break too, the season finale for Lost was pretty neat. I hope Jericho will get another season too. I don't know if anyone watches Hell's Kitchen, but its a pretty neat show.
  6. Wow, that's amazing detail. It reminds me of this website a while ago... They had huge downloads of sat maps of states (in the range of several GB). I can't remember where it was.

  12. Haha, awesome. I like it when he's giving that person a ride and he breaks out of character.
  13. Found this earlier on Digg. It's a geographic map of concentrations where people use different names for soda. http://popvssoda.com:2998/countystats/total-county.html It's interesting to see how different regions use different names for it. Started a poll on here to see how WFGer's say it.
  14. haha great ones. http://www.snopes.com/photos/animals/graphics/horsedog.jpg It's a hoax, but those mastiff dogs are still massive. It reminds me of Fang.
  15. Hehe. I got (made) my mom this nice flower arrangement in a cool pot. It had a foxglove in the center and some small red flowers on the bottom. Looked pretty good when it was put together.
  16. Nice looking layout you made. I don't think I'd be much use for personal exp. articles though.
  17. Yeah that's really cool. I was reading about it earlier this week in computers and we all thought it was interesting.
  18. Hey thank you guys. Actually I won't be doing it next year as I'm graduating. Off to CalPoly! (I'm majoring in electrical engineering) But I still may 'mentor' the guys be able to help them on the internet with designs and setting up a website.
  19. Hey, I'm back. We did very well. 4th in our division of 86 teams (and we were rookie). Here's the page of videos: http://www.thebluealliance.net/tbatv/team.php?team=2272
  20. Hey guys, I've been quite busy lately with school and college apps... and robotics. So that's what I've been up to. I'm in the school robotics club this year (my final) and we built a robot for the FIRST competition. It is for high school students and their mentors to compete in. Our basic robot design was to pick to these inner tubes and move around to a rack to place them to earn points with team members and an opposing team. All teams were given 6 weeks to work on the robot, after that they must be shipped to their regional. We competed in the Los Angles Regional along with 52 other teams. Through out March about a thousand other teams were competing in other regionals in their states. Anyway, so we went to the LA Sports Arena to compete. It was our school's rookie year for this whole thing, so were were still learning how the whole process works. We went through the competitions and got into the quarter finals! 11th out of 52 teams total, which was a great surprise for us. But... we happened to win two awards while we were there: the All Star Rookie Award and the Highest Rookie Seed award. The All Star Award guaranteed us a spot in Atlanta for the Championship!!! As you might imagine we were so beyond excited that we got this far, the next step was fund raising for the next entrance fee. Anyone who's been in this before, or any other club, knows that it takes a lot of money! The costs for our project were $6000 (entrance fee and basic parts kit), $5000 (entering LA Regional), $5000 (entering Atlanta), plus hundreds extra for food and supplies. I'm the self proclaimed photographer for our group ( ) and I've taken hundreds of pictures of our progress, a few of them are online if you guys would like to check them out. So almost all of next week we'll be in Atlanta (4/12-4/14)! If you guys would like to check out, here's some links below. Btw, our team number is 2272! We are known as the "Metalhead" (not my first choice for the name) from Conejo Valley Robotics.
