chichigrande
I saw the movie yesterday and I thought it was the best of all 3. I loved the dead people, but I didn't like how Saruman(sp) was in the movie at all. But besides that the movie rocked
av_nefardec
but I didn't like how Saruman(sp) was in the movie at allTrust me, neither would have Tolkien!Christopher Lee actually boycotted the movie because they cut his scenes :/
chichigrande
LOL That's great, but without him in it, there were a lot of parts that weren't like the book
friedd0g
i thought the dead people looked really good closeup but from a distance the green around them was too strong so it looked a little stupid that was the only problem.. other that that it was great... ZeZar
All the skipped things was bad.Rangers, Saruman, and more. And the distance was too small. Stuff like the war was awsome. The dead guys was stupid, i think. Not necessary!
Quacker
Saruman had to be skipped, as Christopher Lee unexpectently died of a heart-attack.

Quacker
That's what I was told. Before they could film the ending of Saruman, Chris Lee (the actor who plays Saruman) died from a heart-attack. Correct me if i'm wrong, i don't want to be spreading lies
friedd0g
lol he didn't die... he flagged coming to the world premier because some of his scenes were cut
ElfTheHunter
The 7 minute scene of the death of Saruman (I assume still inside Orthanc) will be in the extended edition, so it's not a total loss.
chichigrande
Well then... I'll be sure to see the extended edition then.

Correct me if i'm wrong, i don't want to be spreading lies [wink.gif]Quacker you've been misled As friedd0g said, they cut his scene from the movie about a week before the New Zealand (world) premier, so he boycotted it. He's (I think) the only really well-red (in Tolkien) actor on the cast. A lot of the actors had the chance to read the books and just decided not to (Elijah Wood, for instance))
Black Op
Well, if you want my opinion on ROTK, go here.As for Saruman, I'm sure we'll see him in the EE, along with many other missing things.
akya
note : In the books, Saruman dies in the Shire, killed by his servant/associate...whatever... wormtongue
kor
Christopher Lee himself said he was not boycotting the movie, he just never went to see movies he performed in. He also wasn't on the theatrical releases of FotR and TT.Him not being on the RotK premiere was reported as him boycotting it, but he has denied that thus far.
