gw1500se
I don't know what I did but I am no longer able to launch the game. Rather than the start screen coming up, I am getting the mods screen. There seems to be no way to get from that screen to the game. How do I fix this? Guest
'public' mod needs to be enabled. What you are seeing is what happens when you either disabled 'public' and saved the configuration, or if you somehow deleted it. Probably the former. gw1500se
Thanks for the reply. I don't see anything about public on that screen. There is an enable/disable button but it is grayed out as is the visit web site button.

gw1500se
Here it is.
feneur
Have you deleted anything in the 0 A.D. folder? Have you tried installing some mods?
gw1500se
I wanted to look at some different maps so I extracted binaries/data/mods/public/public.zip. That is when it started so I re-zipped it but that didn't help.
Stan`
Are you sure the mod.json file is still next to the zip file ?
gw1500se
As far as I recall there was never anything other than the zip file in that directory. I certainly wouldn't have deleted it intentionally.
Stan`
Try copying it from inside the zip
gw1500se
That didn't help much. Now I get this screen but I don't know what to do from there.
Stan`
Save configuration, start mods
gw1500se
No joy. It comes right back to the mods screen.
Lion.Kanzen
Try to install again. I never see this before.
gw1500se
Should I report this as a bug? Do I need to collect some debug info first?
Stan`
Well if you can reproduce it yes but here I guess it's because of one of your experiments
Guest
Sure the game does not bundle the thing any special way? I guess it could work with the un-zipped folder. (Might need to move it though)
gw1500se
Well, I tried to reinstall and I am back to getting errors in the make. Please see https://wildfiregames.com/forum/index.php?/topic/24985-installation-on-centos-7/. Boost has been the main problem. Now for some reason it will no longer link. ==== Building pyrogenesis (release) ==== Linking pyrogenesis obj/pyrogenesis_Release/main.o: In function `generic_category': /usr/local/include/boost/system/error_code.hpp:498: undefined reference to `boost::system::detail::generic_category_ncx()' /usr/local/include/boost/system/error_code.hpp:498: undefined reference to `boost::system::detail::generic_category_ncx()' /usr/local/include/boost/system/error_code.hpp:498: undefined reference to `boost::system::detail::generic_category_ncx()' /usr/local/include/boost/system/error_code.hpp:498: undefined reference to `boost::system::detail::generic_category_ncx()' /usr/local/include/boost/system/error_code.hpp:498: undefined reference to `boost::system::detail::generic_category_ncx()' collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status make[1]: *** [../../../binaries/system/pyrogenesis] Error 1 make: *** [pyrogenesis] Error 2 Very frustrating. Stan`
... Have you retried to reinstall Boost ? I'm sorry things are so complicated for you.

gw1500se
I did. Same error. It drives me nuts when something that worked before fails for no apparent reason.
s0600204
When you extracted the zip file, how did the folder structure look? [...]/mods/public/public/[art|maps|...]Â or [...]/mods/public/[art|maps|...] Similarly, what is the structure of the new zip file -Â is there a mod.json in the root level of the new zipped file? And how exactly did you re-zip it?
gw1500se
public/public
Guest
Thats not right. It should be like the second one.
s0600204
Indeed. When not zipped, the folder structure should be: ./binaries/data/mods/public/ |- art/ |- audio/ |- globalscripts/ |- [...] '- mod.json Whilst when zipped, it should be: ./binaries/data/mods/public/ '- public.zip |- art/ |- audio/ |- globalscripts/ |- [...] '- mod.json
