@andy5995  @stanislas69  Here is the terminal with commands i have used. I have updated the /etc/apt/sources.list as well but still game is not running from "0ad" command and there is no 0ad program in software search as well. Also i went to the usr/games/pyrogenesis but it didn't load... Please tell me what to do and how to do....

@andy5995  I have following repositories in /etc/apt/sources.list :
1) deb http://http.kali.org/kali kali-rolling main non-free contrib
2) deb http://http.debian.net/debian jessie-backports main
Okay so now i know the importance of using non-root usr for running any 3rd party application. Would it work on non-root usr ? or i have to do something more to run the game?

Probably not, but you should definitely try it.

I suggest you ask in the Kali community because the source of this problem is, as far as I can tell, not with 0ad development, but rather specific to installing it on Kali Linux.

But perhaps some other user in this forum will be able to guide you further.

EDIT: Oh, you got it working, great!

Given that you are just starting out with Linux I would recommend to use another more beginner friendly distro. This view seems to be shared by the Kali community as well. https://docs.kali.org/introduction/should-i-use-kali-linux . That would be quite helpful.

This is just my opinion ofcourse and nothing forces you to accept advice from strangers on the internet. I just stated my opinion but you should do what you think is best.

Sorry for going offtopic but seems like your issue was resolved.
