FaTony
I usually make very artificial maps just for fun and I find it difficult to place stuff without snapping to grid. Is there a button that can do this?
WhiteTreePaladin
I don't think there is, but it is a feature that I've wanted for awhile. Edit: there is a feature in the editor that turns the buildings red when they overlap, so that could help some. wowgetoffyourcellphone
Some of the problem with a grid snap system is that the buildings are not standard sizes and do not conform to the size of the grid.
fcxSanya
There is a Trac ticket for it: #3920 and the feature is even listed in the "Planned features for Part 1" list on wiki (the list is somewhat aged and probably should be re-evaluated some day though). FaTony
Snapping to grid may not be very useful inside the game but will be very useful in editor to make symmetric maps.
WhiteTreePaladin
I think it would be useful in the game too.
Loki1950
Silly question what grid as far as I have seen there is no grid just a coordinate system so first a displayable grid will need to be coded before you could even consider snapping to said grid in either atlas or the game. Stan`
There is a displayable grid in atlas.

I think snapping buildings together accomplishes most of it Edited November 21, 2016 by WhiteTreePaladin
FaTony
I think the good idea would be snapping to a power of 2 of game units, like 2,4,8,16...
