gameboy
We need 0.a.d. 64bit, which can improve the performance of the game to solve a lot of problems, such as insufficient memory, AI lag. Please our WFG team can consider release of 64 bit 0.a.d., or provided to our 64bit mozjs31-ps-release.lib and mozjs31-ps-release.dll, let everybody pyrogenesis compile a 64bit, thanks. Please support and attention to this important issue.
elexis
http://trac.wildfiregames.com/attachment/ticket/1619/largeaddressaware.patch looks like that might be committed before the release.

My friend Elexis, can you provide 64bit mozjs31-ps-release.lib and mozjs31-ps-release.dll I will pyrogenesis.exe compile their own 64bit and their test, thank you! Akira Kurosawa
Still no 64-bit game? Not good, especially while we have trends to prohibition of 32-bit programms.

What trends ? Visual studio is still 32 bit yet it's fine

Visual studio is still 32 bit yet it's fine I've heard about Ubuntu and that they are trying to throw away 32-bit version with 32 bit programms, even small utilites have got 64-bit version. Many small games are now 64-bit only. By the way, that "minisign" under download links looks like does not work.
Stan`
It's 64 bit on linux AFAIK.

They are planning to keep game at x32 version forever?
Stan`
Because it has no advantage for windows right now and making a 64bit build is more complicated there .

pAris
If the game memory does not exceed 4GB, moving to 64 bits would kinda be something that does more harm than good. If this game is hitting OOM errors, then I guess there really is no choice. There is a reason why a lot of new software is still 32bit. AAA games are not because their minimum requirements asks for 16GB of ram. Also, who cares what canonical does? Their decision to deprecate 32 bit libs was such a @#$% up that even the Ubuntu userbase called them out on it and they were forced to reach some kind of compromise and a lot of people migrated to PopOS! The larger the address space, the more gooder it is?

I learned to code in an 8K address space you have to be tight in your memory usage as well as your logic all increasing the address space does for most current coders is increase bloat.
