Le Druide Gaulois
I've made a sketch for the barracks here: https://wildfiregames.com/forum/uploads/monthly_09_2015/post-16101-0-81217600-1442967197.jpg I looks more like a hall.
wackyserious
Prop proposal for the Anglo-Saxons/Norse/Etc. The purpose of this prop would be to show the ownership of a certain building via player_trans shields + spears combined as a single prop. niektb
Does anyone has suggestions for the aura of Alfred the Great?
wackyserious
I suggest something similar to Vercingetorix, +2 attack +1 capture ??Plus make him a trainer unit like Cyrus the Great (Alfred can train infantry_spearman_e, slow training time, 75 food, 75 wood, 50 metal cost)?? niektb
Hmm, I would guess that something that points to his unification of England and securing the borders would be nice.
wackyserious
Make Anglo-Saxon buildings more resistant to capturing when he is trained/alive?
niektb
I've committed a bunch of new units icons to reflect the new unit textures: Edited April 1, 2016 by niektb

niektb
@wackyserious: now you need to help me a bit: are the 2nd and the 4th the new meshes? (I guess so) but what's the difference between them? (also, TBH, I like the colors and especially the ornaments on the older ones more)
Andrettin
I think it was a great idea to rename this civilization to "Anglo-Saxons", it makes it much clearer what it is about.

(also, TBH, I like the colors and especially the ornaments on the older ones more) 2nd mesh (m_tunic_long), 4th mesh (m_pants_celt) I'll still add the ornaments, the white cloth underneath the shirt is a linen undertunic, ornaments will be placed on the wool tunic (blue one)

Stan`
Nice, any reason you didn't make it uniform ?
wackyserious
@stanislas69 Which one? The tunics? I used object color for it, player color is also applicable
Stan`
The wool one =)
wackyserious
Those were done recently, days after the Alpha 20 release I'm planning to use a red-yellow color scheme for the Anglo-Saxons padded cloths (Most of the textures in our current source file are now using multiply layers and clipping properties, so it is now very easy to recolor and tweak things, unlike the old source file)
Stan`
Yeah i know I was just wondering why the sleeve pattern was bigger =)
wackyserious
Ah, I misunderstood it, I'm sorry XD I still don't quite get it, haha, if you are talking about the thick cloth armor and the shirt not matching, the shirt material is made of linen while the cloth armor is made of heavily stitched wool But if it is about the white tunic on the clothing edges not matching, I still haven't reworked it, XD and that white cloth is supposed to be a linen undertunic, elaborate clothing details are going to be added on the top (colored) tunics. Stan`
I guess that was the later I always hated the fact that the texture hasn't got an uniform size on the mesh and therefore makes the arms lower resolution than the body.
Stan`
Something like that ?
niektb
@stanislas69: I think that's indeed what @wackyserious wants. Is the UV based on the shield textures that @wackyserious has put together? Spoiler f.e.: https://github.com/0ADMods/millenniumad/blob/master/art/textures/skins/props/shields/anglo/elite/iron_stripes_red.png
