Mythos_Ruler
After talking with Kimball, I thought we could make a thread where we post ideas for post-Alpha 9 projects, specifically regarding buildings, but possibly including other Easter egg things we want to add to the game. Make sure to post whatever references you find, and we'll make a nice big comprehensive list.First, I'd like to mention the Ishtar Gates of Babylon:
Kimball
Assets depicting the city of Ninevah would be awesome for campaign use:

Kimball
This goes without saying, but for the sake of the list, Wall of Troy.
Gen.Kenobi
I dunno why, but I really would love to see some of this ingame:Scenarios like Protect the Aqueduct would be cool for the Romans Or maybe just a simple easter egg. Mythos_Ruler
This goes without saying, but for the sake of the list, Wall of Troy.Any good references? Why stop at wall of Troy? Add in some Trojan/Mycenaean units too.

MishFTW
Sounds exciting. This deserves a! Oh, could you add Colossus of Rhodes on there too? That would be freaking awesome. It could be integrated in a "protect wonders" campaign.
Gen.Kenobi
Indeed Oh They already have one? BUt I would re-work on that one, at least on the texture, with some tilled rocks, here and there And some aqueducts ruins would also be cool
Mythos_Ruler
Topic moved to open forum, so that others may add their wish lists and begin to create their own wonders and special buildings for possible inclusion in the official game. Mythos_Ruler
If the Ptolemies were ever added to the game, the Lighthouse would definitely be one of their Special Buildings.

majapahit
Colossus are more hard, nobody know how it was.Yes indeed, therefore an artist impression might surprise us.And what's truly nice with creating an impression of something that people have no idea about how it looks? After it's finish people will use it as reference Should be good for ocean maps.
Pureon
Special buildings/objects like these are mostly one-offs that don't necessarily need to be consistent with other civs, so can be worked on by individuals (or groups) from the community. I think we should mention that in the first post here.If someone wants to focus on a specific model, they can create a topic dedicated to that building/object. Thinking about it some more, I think we should create a new topic to explain how this will work, reading the above posts will be confusing. Some other items that could be worked on:Banyan Treeshttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BanyanLuxor Colossushttp://en.wikipedia....ng_Colossus.jpgSphinx of Memphishttp://en.wikipedia....hinx_of_MemphisDelphi Sphinxhttp://en.wikipedia....8MAD_Sphinx.jpgOsirian statuehttp://en.wikipedia....STBANK-0153.JPGTemple of Venus, Heliopolishttp://0.tqn.com/d/a...enusDiagram.jpg

oshron
i think, first and foremost, at least one wonder should be decided upon for each playable civilization and then unique other wonders can be chosen. for example, the currently decided-upon civilizations' wonders could be. for example, the specific wonder for the romans could be the roman senate building while the persians could get the palace/tomb of xerxes
oshron
No all civilization have a greatest Monuments, even Romans don't have in Republic Age a great building, I don't know for celtics faction what kind a monument they have.*shrug* the castle of camelot? Mythos_Ruler
Though the Celts did not build them, the Celts could have a henge of some sort.
MishFTW
The Colosseum was really Imperial Rome so I don't think it would be appropriate in Part 1. While we are at it, ziggurats and pyramids would make excellent choices for wonders!

Come one, come all! contributors, do your best! I assume most of you are already aware, but when I was 'scavenging' the public mod files this weekend I stumbled upon a quite nice model for the Colosseum. It seems to lack textures though. Still, enough other civilizations to cater to Edited July 9, 2012 by dvangennip
hhyloc
Some Celtic or Iberian "wonders" would be nice, although they are not as spectacular as other Hellenic or Roman ones.
