Capture buildings

In the new version, I don't know if it's some configuration I made, but it seems that my units as a human player cannot capture enemy buildings, however, the AI can capture enemy buildings, whether from my team or another, so I would like to know if it's some problem with the version or mine.

There are a lot of discussions about this in TGs. What was the reason for and/or the reasoning behind that change?

For years after it's introduction, we got asked to make attack the default. So we did.

I think the problem is that building hitpoints (or resistance/armor) weren't adjusted to balance. :/

I'd honestly rather it be something in the game world rather than an options menu item. But either way, that would be ideal. But to make either option attractive, we gotta rebalance capturing vs. attacking.

i might be wrong but i think about a decade ago ppl complained about capturing being the default
the problem was noobs suicided army trying to capture
now capturing is a lot easier. still maybe attacking should be the default and we can have an option to set capturing as default (or a mod?)

im using causatives fix (only the capture command, not the attack move and patrol part)

Maybe while "default automatic capturing" was their official complaint, and now "default attack buildings", the actual issue people had was that own forces would automatically turn their attack towards buildings instead of focusing on the enemy? Have seen my soldiers attacking fields instead of enemy soldiers.

Not sure how we can make buildings a secondary target unless commanded otherwise.
