Oblivious to this "deadline", kindly explain.

When we hold a booth at FOSDEM or give presentations, since it's such a big event, it's nice to have a new release to show for it. Makes it more enjoyable for everyone.

Feature Freeze has been moved to the January 10th in order to give more time to some patches, and because we no longer have the hard FOSDEM deadline.

It might be nice to have some balancing changes as well.

How should the community mod features be handled? A patch for each merged item?

Yeah I don't know if you plan to keep "everything" also will allow us to address minor issues like identation etc. maybe also check if some tooltips were forgotten.

@borg- https://trac.wildfiregames.com/log/ps?action=stop_on_copy&mode=stop_on_copy&rev=27385&stop_rev=&limit=100&verbose=on&sfp_email=&sfph_mail=#

plenty of Art improvements, seems to be a couple of performance improvements, bug fixes, and @vv221 is working on patches to include community mod content.

The changes look good, and the mod should be included.
