I think I got it. Black absourbs heat rather than reflects it like white does, which makes black colored objects hotter. Therefore, POW #1 felt how hot his beenine was becoming and decided it was black.

True, we still have billions of years left to live on Earth, but it may take a VERY long time to develop pratical space travel to other planets, let alone other stars.
Don't be too sure. I can't decide what to become either and yet I live in America. Well, follow Amy's advice; find a job that has a use for 3D modelling. If that's not possible, find a career that suits your favorite subjects and/or interests.
@Amy: But still a great start towards furthering space exploration. Experience gained from these new missions can help us later on in the future when we need it the most (when our Sun becomes a Red Giant and Earth is consumed by it).
