  1. I'm fairly sure that the COPPA doesn't *completely* ban people under 13 from places like this - it's just that it makes explicit (written?) parental permission mandatory.
  2. I have a feeling that most of France and Argentina are rooting for the Spurs...
  3. The finals start tonight at 8 PM CST! Personally, I'm rooting for the Spurs, my home team
  4. Even though I'm a bit late, welcome to WFG! Have a great time on our boards
  5. I'll be praying for you. Sometimes God gives us trials to see how we will handle them. Just keep your eyes on Him and "... know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose."
  6. Great comic, I was this last Sunday in the paper I think. All the subtleties are great: sqrt(121) = 11, which must be 11 'o clock. 4! = 24, which must be the show "24" sin(1) = 90 degrees (quite hot) 3.14159... is obvious I'm not sure how to solve the fourth one, though.
  7. The Ancient Egyptians are one of my favorite ancient civs as well - if not my most favorite Welcome aboard, glad to have you!
  8. Nice! BTW - I found a good site for completely free site hit counting/statistics: http://www.statcounter.com/ I wanted something I could use for tracking hits on my blog, without adding an annoying advertising button/banner. StatCounter is pretty nice
  9. I (finally) started a personal blog. 'Tis hosted on Blogger.com -> http://codeoptimist.blogspot.com/ Feel free to check it out
  10. Congrats, Jordan! Take many, many pics

    Uho

I'd say a PM to Tim is in order...
  12. I thought that might be the case, but I tried it in IE too and got the same result. IE actually reported the error, though - I'll have to try it again and get the exact error message.
  13. Just a FYI: tried editing my signature (noticed a typo) and found that the 'Update Signature' button doesn't work. I think there's some errant JavaScript to blame.
  14. Think of Wikipedia as a friend, and Google as a close relative.
  15. I haven't laughed that hard in a little while - thanks Paul! *still laughing* I wonder if that really happened Doesn't really matter, it's funny beyond belief regardless
  16. Ah - I knew I wasn't the only one around here that did that. A while back I made a poll regarding this, but most people said they recognize people by their nickname. Personally, I glance at the avatar first, out of habit, and unconciously memorize everyone's avatars. Then, when people insist on changing them, my brain revolts What type of fractal is that?
  17. LOL, that's what I thought when I first saw the name.
  18. In regards to physics engines - I agree, there is *some* benefit other than visuals or annoyance. Unfortunately, the advanced nature of such programming challenges outweigh the benefits, as has already been stated. One thing that did impress me with regards to AOE3 is the implementation of ragdoll physics. Though that could be categorized as a "graphical pleasure", it certainly may end up looking better than "static" animations. We'll see if it ends up being a plus or minus in terms of gameplay
  19. Yes - send a PM to Tim (DarkAngelBGE) and he should be able to help you out.
  20. Ah - that's it. I forgot about that little fact when I posted earlier Now that you've jogged my memory, I think Tim said at one point that he was going to try to change the code so that it won't count the F&G forum in the "Most active" display and post averages.
