  1. Hi, and welcome! We can always use more programmers!!
  2. Extremely well said Adam! Just look at what happened with Apollo: the Moon missions basically kick-started high-tech research, etc, or at least helped the growth. They had to come up with LOADS of new technology and methodology to be able to accomplish the objective. I can't remember exactly, but I once saw an example of some of the stuff they invented for Apollo that is now used for everyday conveniences. Without Apollo, we wouldn't have a lot of things that help us every day!! That, IMO, is money well spent
  3. I like Black Forest (yay Wijit!), Highlands, Gold Rush, Ghost Lake, and Islands. (all AOK maps) I usually only want to play Islands when I feel like dominating the sea
  4. Everyone seems to want to "filter" it, whatever that means Sticking it through a collander?
  5. I highly doubt they could mess up the Moon's orbit, not without some nuclear explosion or something
  6. Was your point to make a point? Or were you pointing out that the points didn't have a point? Does this have a point? confused myself now
  7. Updated current winners list... keep the temps coming!
  8. I just passed 1000 I have a screenshot where my posts is almost 1000, and the "replies to started threads" field is 1000 exactly
  9. See: http://science.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid...tid=134&tid=160 "This afternoon George Bush announced space exploration plans for the USA to return to the Moon by 2015, the design and construction of a new space vehicle fleet by 2014 (called the Crew Exploration Vehicle) to replace the aging space shuttles which will be retired in 2010, and the construction of a permanent Moon base, followed by manned missions to Mars." Personally, I think this is great I've been wanting to see a new Moon mission since... forever
  10. Howdy Woad Warrior, enjoy your stay here
  11. Now that we're deep into the winter season, I thought it would be a good time to spring a fun contest out that my friend, DKATyler, told me about. Who has the most extreme weather conditions right now? (temperature-wise) Tomorrow's weather forecast here is 63 for the high, 56 for the low. Yep, I live in Texas I was actually wearing shorts and a short-sleeve T-shirt today, in the middle of winter Current Winners (all temps in Fahrenheit) Highest Temp: CodeOptimist... Mid to upper 60's Lowest Temp: akya... -22 degrees and dropping
  12. I love basketball, but I've never played on a team before... just fun pickup games on the hoop my Dad got.
  13. How about the username colors be displayed in the Members list? It'd make the member list a bit more colorful, and draw attention to important members (admins, mods, etc).
  14. Very well said, Quacker. I share your POV I think that people nowadays are *WAY* too easy-going when it comes to marriages, etc.. when you're talking about spending the rest of your life with someone, you have to make very important decisions. I guess it doesn't help that also nowadays, people disregard the "...to honor and cherish, as long as ye both shall live..." :-( "Be as gentle as doves, and as wise as serpents... Doesn't that just about sum it up Quacker?
  15. Welcome to WFG, Jerry, hope you have a fun time here
