  1. First of all, thanks for your answers It does not surprise that such concerns are of low priority at the moment, with A27 finalization going on. Perhaps some Atlas reworks can be done before the game's campaign mode will be created. So yes, it is irrelevant to the game at the moment. Still both workarounds are helpful in some fashion. Sadly i could not use your script for the current map @vladislavbelov, because many trees are already placed and some have intended rotation (overhanging cliffs etc.). But this definitley has a lot of utility value from just a simple script. ...inspiring me to simplify such processes myself in the future
  2. Remade some parts of the map, did some adjustments regarding the paths through swamps and choke points, added 3 AI players and had some good fun with Delanda Est on singleplayer Still more work to do here...

Hello to everyone, but exspecially to the map-editing members of the community since i am editing a large forest-blotched map at the moment (and hence am placing tons of trees in the process), i noticed that it becomes visually repetetive at a certain point. So i started to turn the flora objects randomly by spinning the mouse, with good results. ...sadly, this idea came into my mind long after i started placing the forests, so i will have to re-work all the other map-parts for a more natural appearance Perhaps this would be a good option to implement into atlas? Random object placement rotation? Sadly, i do not know too much about the atlas GUI libraries, and how such option could be added. But if someone knows, i would like to look for a way to add this when there is time for it. What do you think? Does this make sense? EDIT: this is probably a more performance-friendly way of providing random appearances than using the random meshes, which are being reduced often for the sake of performance.

  6. yes, but other than the roman siege wall the outpost cannot be placed in enemy territory and will decay to the enemy if he gains control of the territory (as of A26)

Found some very interesting Music last week: Lustmord & Karin Park - Alter (listen full album, of course ) There are still very passionate people in the word when it comes to music, even though the industry is quantifying one of the most qualitative things in life. Suddenly it is just "2x verse + 2x chorus + bridge = music". But our society appears to do so with everything and every problem: Quantify it, so we can first define "more" and then try to get "more" of it. Perhaps the quantitative view on things is the prerequisite for our way of production in any field.
  11. Burnt ground could be made more fertile for farming. But that would be a weird workaround, so i have to agree. Even so, the general idea of having fire and gameplay relevant fire effects in the game is nice, so thanks you for giving your hint on the forums, @Lion.Kanzen
  12. There are already scout units in Delanda Est. Would be neat if there were scouts that had the ability to estimate troop numbers. Tech could be used to have scouts give better / closer estimation. Loose thought.

  14. Tried to pronounce those Old English words from the OP for a test. Old English "lerthling" would be pronounced "la(y)rðliny" ? Same in "Sceaphierde". I am uncertain whether the "th" here must be pronounced as ð, or whether the "t" and "h" are pronounced separately. so, is it "schafhiayrde?" pronouncing "hierde" as "hiayrday" seems a bit odd, since the german word "Schafhirte" means "shepheard", while in modern english it is pronounced like an "a". So i do not get the notion that an "ay"-ish sound to make sense here. "Betimbran" like "baytimmbrann"? I tend to speak "baytimmberen", where the "r" is rolled. Hard for me to say if i am doing this right.

  16. Es könnte auch in /mods/user sein. Auf jedenfall in einem der Mods-Ordner. Keine Sorge, meist ist es ein Flüchtigkeitsfehler oder Vergleichbares nicht aufgeben. Ansonsten auch mal hier schauen https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/GameDataPaths#Windows , dort sind die Dateipfade des Spiels aufgeführt.
  17. Beachte bitte die unterschiedlichen Kartentypen: Szenario, Zufällig und Scharmützel. Du wirst die Karte nur unter der Kategorie finden, welche Du beim Erstellen gewählt hast. Ferner besteht die Möglichkeit, Filter anzuwenden (linkes Menü, im ersten Reiter in Atlas müsste die Einstellung sich befinden). Diese Filter sind dafür da, dass man als Spielhost entsprechende Karten schneller finden kann. Ferner erscheint es mir sinnvoll darauf hinzuweisen, dass die mit Atlas erstellten Karten in die "public"-mod gespeichert werden. (DataPath/mods/public). Dort vielleicht mal nachschauen, wo die Karte zu finden ist (scenario / skirmish / random). Da es um Mainland geht, vermutlich Random. Und der Name, der im Spiel angezeigt wird, entspricht nicht zwangsläufig dem Dateinamen, sondern wird separat in Atlas festgelegt (ebenfalls der erste Reiter).
  18. You got it It also gladdened me when i once saw a guy with the tool-fool-shirt in the streets. But one has to get used to it, because the musical composition of the songs is far from default.
  19. As a Tool fan, i have to agree to all points made in this thread. Porcupine Tree made a good song about the "sound of muzak" which is worth listening to (it deals with the very topic )
