depending on your keyboard layout and picked keyboard language on system, it could be something left from the enter, try to change picked keyboard language to English and then start the game

Thanks. Maybe i / you misunderstanding: i searched for and got this:

Syntagma definition: a syntactic unit or a word or phrase forming a syntactic unit | Meaning, pronunciation, translations and examples.

    i dont undestand the effect.

  3. Test with all hotkeys finished for a minute:

    98% shorcuts work like expected :-) ( https://youtu.be/UsEluryKil0

that really works great :) I don't really need  many shortcuts either . not yet ;)

but some does nothing at my (k)Ubuntu :
    - [x] Wall shorctus
        - [ ] does nothing:
            - [ ] E + Space
            - [ ] W + Space
            - [ ] E + Ctrl
            - [ ] W + Ctrl
            - [ ] D + Space
    - [ ] Select Farmsted
        - [ ] ctrl shift F
        - [ ] ctrl F
    - [ ] space ä <== whats syntagma?
    - [ ] space 9 <== format wedge

    recomandet deactivate in camera settings:
    q w ... and more

    # conflicts:

Space T pressed and released space first:
    opens
    - [ ] friends/alians Chat and
    - [ ] builds Temple

Space T pressed slowly - works a expected:
    - [ ] builds Temple

I am having issues with the new hotkey menu.

My guess is that a24 doesn't like my "<>\" key between "Shift" and "W" on AZERTY. The issue is that once I try to save it as hotkey, the function break down and I am unable to use it anymore.

I might be missing part of the explanation but I was wondering if this could make sense ?

look like my errors if i have autoCiv intalled in my last ubuntu ( i will try again today. but dont know how to get autoCiv anymore? )

I think the building hotkeys were property of @naniautociv mod.

yes, but the hotkeys are listend in the settings. that gives confuse for people. and no becouse you/i cant download the mod anymore. so the mod not exist for normal people (how to get it). and no, if you get errors with this mod by joun a game trough the lobby. i missing this building hotkey sooooo much

autociv is not yet compatible with a24, therefore there are no building hotkeys at the moment.

in a24 it worked for me in single mode ( before a24 became public ). ok i miss it. in the newest live stream was reported it works, but probably not:

From Tom 0as '0AD A24 - First Impressions and main gameplay changes!'

works: reinstalled Ubuntu . tested all. joining games, hosting games, some building shortcuts

    1. download https://wildfiregames.com/forum/topic/28753-autociv-mod-0ad-enhancer/
    2. rename.pyromod to ....zip
    3. extract to /home/x/snap/0ad/197/.local/share/0ad/mods/ or maybe ~/.local/share/0ad/mods/

as you said, you either need to wait for the Linux repos to update or downgrade to A23. Downgrading to A23 is definitely an option if you don't mind upgrading again once the repos are there.

do you see that r24155? release is at r24937. That's almost 800 commits behind.

i don't understand your argument If I compile it myself from a repository everything works playing online in the Lobby. Only if it does as it is described in the documentation for Ubuntu (without compiling) it does not work. hmmm. I think you haven't read my post.

This means for me your https://launchpad.net/~wfg/+archive/ubuntu/0ad (ppa:wfg/0ad) is almost 800 commits behind

That means: it's not a (real or big) problem for me. Maybe others already use Ubuntu.

The project is highly ambitious, involving state-of-the-art 3D graphics, detailed artwork, sound, and a flexible and powerful custom-built game engine.
