  1. Great And we will of course want 0 A.D. to be available in as many languages as possible, regardless of whether hundreds of millions speak them or just a few (Got interested in how many who speak Dutch and according to the more or less accurate Wikipedia.org it's about 30 million people or so which is not that few )
  2. Sounds like a great idea (though I'm no texture artist, so don't take my word for it ) Perhaps you should edit your post a bit to better reflect that it's posted here and not on PDS Some parts sound as if it is and may confuse people
  3. Read your first post, and it sure was interesting. Nice to get a chance to know more about you
  4. Not sure whether you've seen it or not, but there is a note on the 0 A.D. front page which says "currently in development" which means that the game is not finished yet, but that we're working on it Welcome to the forums and please enjoy your stay Oh nice to get some visitors from that article.
  5. Welcome to the Wildfire Games forums! It's interesting to get to know a bit about the people and your introduction was not an exception. I hope to see you around for a long time and I hope that you'll find your visit/s to this forum worthwile Would you care to tell us a bit about how you found out about 0 A.D.? It's always nice to get an idea how people find out about us
  6. I'd say it's worth it even without the discount. It's an interesting magazine and well written/illustrated articles for a fairly low amount of money. (And it's interesting to read even if you're not obsessed with the exact details of old weaponry etc, I've got a more general interest in history, but do still find it very interesting. There are a lot of those kind of things, after all it's called Ancient Warfare, so if you're into those things it's extra good )
  7. Hmm, you're a demanding lot you WFG/0 A.D. fans We'll see if we'll bring forth something more, but I'd suggest that you wait for next month and get pleasantly surprised in case we get something more together for this month (We need to "get the team together" after Christmas and all if nothing else )
  8. That's the plan yes I'm fairly sure that's how things will be set up yes.
  9. That's indeed a good idea, after all encouraging people who's into scenario designing is not a bad thing So Michel: upload your stuff!
  10. Great as always Boris! You've really managed to get all the tracks (that I've heard at least) to sound both individually unique and as parts of the same unity (and thus game). I really recommend everyone to download and listen to this (Only side effect might be that one gets too enthusiastic and can't contain oneself waiting for the game and thus tries to hunt down the team and imprison everyone in a cave until the game is finished ) EDIT: (That would have to be a cave with plenty of computer horsepower and coffee of course )
  11. Ah, ok Ah well, let's hope that 0 A.D. gets finished soon so we can see your fantastic maps there
  12. Unfortunately I don't have AOM:TT, but feel free to take some screenshots and show us all.
  13. Almost guessed that the two of you knew each other, the giant "Hi PPE" might be what gave that away
  14. TheCobra1: Hmm, either I'm not understanding what it is you're hinting at or perhaps I don't want to? (Or perhaps I just play stupid to get more information from you, and then I'll devise an intelligent plan to take over the world using dancing bananas? <-- Like these Truth is I'm a bit tired and while I don't drink alcohol I've been in the company of crazy friends, something which is known to produce strange reactions, so don't take what I say too seriously ) Michel: Feel free to apply, but be aware that we are not yet looking for map makers. We are happy that you find our game interesting enough to consider applying though and hope that you'll still be interested when we need map makers.
  15. Not sure what issue you'll get, but the december/january issue has been shipped (some time ago I might guess, but I got mine some days ago). Regarding how long time it'll take until it gets to you I found some info on this page: http://www.ancient-warfare.com/cms/index.p...id=30&Itemid=75 I could have just posted the link, but I decided that I should be nice when the year is coming to an end =) I can still recommend a visit to their site though, there's a lot of info on old and upcoming issues etc.
  16. I cannot answer all your questions, but while the exact HPs etc of the units will have to be decided in testing we're aiming for longer battles (and thus units that lasts longer) that give the user a chance (or even a need) to be more strategic and not just create as many units as possible in a short time.
  17. Hmm, no, that's not a part of this. While it may sound like it with "Winter 2007" that video was released early this year. Great if this have given you an opportunity to discover it though
  18. Well, not sure how apparent it is from the website etc, but our idea for the first part of 0 A.D. is to represent the 500 years before 0 A.D. and add the 500 years after 0 A.D. in a later version/expansion of the game.
  19. That does of course depend on what you mean by playing though (While some aspects of the game are already far along, as you can see by the beautiful screenshots , some parts are not, so I'd not suggest joining just to be able to play the game in its present form. That's not to discourage people to in the future join as testers, but then they should be aware that it's not a finished game they will be playing )
